San Juan - Fort Lauderdale

13 countries
13 ports
Get in the mood for some serious relaxation as we set sail to the islands of the Caribbean. St Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands welcomes us to its shores first at the bustling port of Charlotte Amalie – take the cable car into the hills for a grand overview. Then we cross to the British Virgin Islands for more small-island fun in Tortola – lounge on its white sands and snorkel with turtles. St John’s in Antigua offers a window on the past at the Georgian dockyard used by Admiral Nelson for the Royal Navy, while Marigot, on the French side of St Martin, has beautiful 19th-century architecture. After pretty San Juan, with its colonial architecture and buzzy bars and restaurants, comes Nassau in the Bahamas, with great beaches and a trio of historic forts to explore. We return to Fort Lauderdale for an overnight and then at day at sea takes us to the coast of Central America, where Mayan civilization is the theme in Cozumel, Mexico, Belize City and Santo Tomas in neighboring Guatemala, with majestic ancient ruins to marvel at and delicious chocolate to taste. Next, it's time for a dip in the clear waters that lap the coast of Roatán in Honduras – don’t forget your snorkel, this tiny island is the second biggest coral reef in the world. Then relax onboard as we spend a day at sea crossing the Caribbean, bound for George Town, the scenic capital of the Cayman Islands, before a final day at sea brings us back to Fort Lauderdale.

St. Thomas is glimmering bays, shining seas, powdery sand beaches and unsurpassed shopping. Delight in exquisite imported goods, from Danish silver to French porcelain and Swiss watches. Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands

dec 24, 2026

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Anchor

Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands picture
Virgin Gorda is widely considered one of the most beautiful British Virgin Islands – and that is saying something. Its waters are so blue and sands so white that they seem plucked from a postcard. The island's most famous calling card is a labyrinth of giant, prehistoric boulders forming a series of seawater-flooded grottoes, known as the Baths. Swim and snorkel in the bay here or explore hidden coves and secret beaches for a more exclusive experience. Should a sense of adventure strike, learn about the island's history at the Copper Mine, or hike to Gorda Peak for sensational 360-degree views. Refuel with fresh seafood and punchy rum cocktails at one of the island's laid-back beach bars.

06.

St. John`s, Antigua And Barbuda

dec 25, 2026

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

9 EXCURSIONS

St. John`s, Antigua And Barbuda picture
St. John’s is the compact, colorful capital of twin-island nation Antigua and Barbuda and an ideal base for exploring all that the islands have to offer. Step off the ship straight into the heart of the action: wander bustling markets; admire pretty, pastel-hued buildings; and discover historic sites like the neo-Baroque St. John's Cathedral and the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, housed in the 18th-century Old Court House. Many of Antigua’s beaches are within easy reach of St. John’s, so take your pick. Dickenson Bay is a hit with swimmers and snorkelers for its calm, clear waters, while the powdery sands of Runaway Beach are perfect for more secluded relaxation.

5 EXCURSIONS

San Juan, Puerto Rico picture
Puerto Rico's capital makes a strong impression – even before you arrive on shore. Sailing into the harbor, keep an eye out for El Morro, a 16th-century citadel and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Castillo San Cristobal, a fearsome fortress built to scare away invaders, and La Fortaleza, the impressive official residence of the Governor of Puerto Rico. Once ashore, step back in time along cobbled streets and through squares flanked by pastel-colored Spanish colonial buildings. Or take your pick of beaches – will it be the golden-sanded Isla Verde, the snorkeler-approved El Escambrón, or the laid-back Ocean Park? Just don't leave San Juan without sampling a piña colada (or two) – the tropical cocktail was invented here in the 1950s.

Samana, Dominican Republic

dec 27, 2026

10:00 AM - 6:00 PM

5 EXCURSIONS

Samana, Dominican Republic picture
Candy-colored houses and sugar-sand beaches give this sweet port town a fairytale appeal. One of the quieter spots on this island, the Samana Peninsula allows easy access to coves and bays straight out of a picture book. Playa Payita, known to the locals as The Little Lagoon, offers aquamarine water to dip into and the shade of bamboo and banana leaf umbrellas to retreat beneath. Playa Fronton, with its coconut palms and backdrop of black rock, is the perfect place to snorkel amid schools of parrotfish, nemos, and sunfish. But the big draw is the humpback whales that visit in winter – there's even a museum dedicated to the awesome creatures. Back on dry land, Los Haitises National Park, home to enchanting caves and ndangered birds, is a pretty place to hike, bike or kayak.Indulging in Samana's coconut-infused and zesty fresh seafood delicacies, taking a boat to the secluded beach at Playa Madama, spotting manatees amongst the mangroves in Los Haitises.

Belize City, Belize picture
Belize City is the largest city and former capital of Belize. Situated on the eastern coast of the country, the city is a vibrant and diverse urban center that offers a mix of cultural experiences, historical sites, and access to the natural wonders of the country. Its happy location along the Caribbean Sea adds to its appeal, promising visitors lots of fun in the sun, whether you chose to relax on one of the sandy beaches found outside the city, or explore the underwater world of the Belize Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The nearby caves and atolls are prime spots for snorkeling, diving, and marine adventures. Unsurprisingly, the region is rife with Mayan ruins, and Belize City's proximity to these significant archaeological sites allows visitors to explore the rich Maya heritage of the region. Ancient archaeological sites such as Altun Ha, Cuello, Xunantunich and Nohoch Che'en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve are all located a short distance from the city and feature impressive pyramids and ceremonial plazas. For those who are more interested in modern day and history should stroll the city to St. John's Cathedral, built from 1812 to 1820, for a chance to see the oldest Anglican cathedral in Central America as well as Swing Bridge, an iconic drawbridge, that connects the north and south sides of the city.

Laze on Ocho's own strip of sugar sand, Turtle Beach, and follow your nose to the stalls selling delicious and super-spicy jerk chicken. Nearby are the famous Dunn's River Falls, a swirl of natural pools and waterfalls that lead to the Caribbean Sea – and the spot where Ursula Andress walked out of the water in the James Bond film Dr. No. Just along the coast, take a ride over the glassy waters in the Green Grotto Caves – a hide-out for escaped slaves, smugglers, and, Bond again, the evil Dr. Kananga in Live and Let Die. Visiting Bob Marley's birthplace – and resting place – in Nine Mile village, relaxing on a bamboo raft ride down the Martha Brae River, or hiking in the Blue Mountains.
