Setting sail from the glittering Hollywood hills, we begin with five consecutive days of vitamin sea as we cross the South Pacific. Greet the sun-kissed shores of Kahului and Honolulu in Hawaii, before returning to the ship for four more days at sea. An overnight stay in Nuka Hiva, the largest of the Marquesas Islands, promises adventure, while verdant forests, roaring waterfalls, and idyllic beaches in Fakarava, Rangiroa and Moorea, plus a chance to wander the streets of Papeete in Tahiti, offer a glimpse of Polynesian paradise. Onwards we go to Bora Bora to marvel at Mount Otemanu, while Rarotonga in the Cook Islands, halfway between New Zealand and Hawaii, offers incredible snorkeling in its calm waters. Fast-forward 24 hours as we sail over the dateline, then spot humpback whales in Tonga. We sail north for dazzling emerald rainforests and enthralling Fijian welcoming ceremonies in Savusavu and Lautoka. Then we spend the day sailing to the white-sand shores of volcanic Vanuatu, calling at Mystery Island and the capital, Port Vila, welcomed with a traditional water music ceremony. Onwards we go to Lifou, a haven for birds including the red-bellied fruit dove, before spending a day sailing to Norfolk Island, a tiny Australian territory. After another day at sea, we’ll arrive in New Zealand and explore the stunning Bay of Islands and the lively city of Auckland. Now, we sail down the North Island's east coast to enjoy Tauranga's captivating blend of Maori and contemporary cultures. The soaring cliffs and wide skies of Timaru on the South Island is where nature enthusiasts can hike into the hills and urbanites can enjoy a coffee on the boardwalk. Heart-melting beauty is assured while cruising Dusky, Doubtful, and Milford Sounds. Two days crossing the Tasman Sea offer opportunities to unwind before an overnight in cosmopolitan Melbourne.
