Zig-zagging between Greek and Turkish waters before arriving on the shores of Italy, this cruise offers a leisurely look at some of southern Europe’s loveliest spots. Leaving Athens, we visit the picturesque island of Patmos, steeped in spirituality as the place where Saint John the Divine wrote the Book of Revelation. Then we visit the chic Turkish Riviera town of Bodrum before heading back to Greece for Heraklion, with its famed Palace of Knossos, Piraeus, for another look at magnificent Athens, and Mykonos, the glamorous island loved by the style set. Then we return to Turkey at Kusadasi, a beach resort that is also home to the ruins of the ancient city of Ephesus, before a final stop in Greece at Santorini, with its striking white sugar-cube dwellings and black-sand beaches. A relaxing sea day takes us to Italy, where we call at Messina on Sicily, the beautiful cliffside town of Sorrento on the Amalfi coast, and finally Civitavecchia, gateway to the marvels of Rome.
