Mountain-ringed Resurrection Bay in Seward is the starting point for this voyage, which travels southwards down the dramatic west coast of Alaska and Canada. Have your cameras ready as we cruise past the awe-inspiring Hubbard Glacier, where colossal ice chunks calve into the sea. Then we have two stops where you can fully explore the wilderness: Haines and Icy Strait Point, home to the world’s largest ziprider. Next is Sitka, Alaska’s original capital with a fascinating Russian heritage, and Ketchikan, with its 19th-century totem poles and houses built on stilts. Finally, we enter Canadian waters, following the breathtaking Seymour Narrows down to Vancouver.
