Our Caribbean sojourn sets sail from Fort Lauderdale, starting with a day at sea to enjoy the myriad delights of Crystal Grace. First up is Grand Turk, capital of the heavenly Turks and Caicos archipelago, where the white sands and topaz waters seem the stuff of postcards. Now it’s over to Samaná in the Dominican Republic to see humpback whales, hike or horse ride through lush jungle, and swim in refreshing natural water holes. In Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands, take a dip in Bubbly Pool, Mother Nature’s Jacuzzi, and wade ashore to Soggy Dollar Bar for a Painkiller cocktail, invented here in the ’70s. Crossing to St. John’s in Antigua, hit the beach – there's one for every day of the year here – and in Basseterre, Saint Kitts, discover the town’s fascinating French and British heritage. Now glamorous Gustavia in St. Barts beckons with its upscale restaurants and designer shopping, before we end our journey in San Juan, the lively capital of Puerto Rico.

Itinerary

01.

Fort Lauderdale, United States Of America

jan 03, 2029

departure 6:00 PM

City meets sea in the coastal metropolis of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Soak up the sun along vast swaths of pristine white sands, take a scenic boat tour through palm-fringed canals, shop your way along the famous Las Olas Boulevard, and sip refreshing craft beers along the Fort Lauderdale Ale Trail. When it comes to dining, you're spoilt for choice: from fresh seafood with a waterfront view to Michelin-approved pizza, there's mouthwatering cuisine at every turn.

03.

Grand Turk, Turks And Caicos Islands

jan 05, 2029

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Switching off comes easily on Grand Turk. The paradisiacal capital of the Turks and Caicos archipelago offers an authentic and unhurried Caribbean experience, where snorkeling, sunbathing, and strolling the sleepy town are the only orders of the day. Should you wish to up the activity ante, embark on an exhilarating off-road adventure around the island or interact with friendly stingrays on a snorkeling excursion.

04.

Samana, Dominican Republic

jan 06, 2029

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Anchor

White sands melting into turquoise waters, coconut palms swaying in the breeze; Samana is a tropical vision brought to life. You might be seduced into just lounging beneath a banana-leaf sunshade or snorkeling amid the clownfish, yet there's more to this peninsula. Watch humpback whales breaching the waves between January and March, ride on a horse to see the cascading El Limón waterfall, or admire the ancient petroglyphs created by the Taíno people in Los Haitises National Park. Whatever you choose, make time, too, to head to a bar on the Malecon and listen to the rhythms of merengue music.

05.

Jost Van Dyke, British Virgin Islands

jan 07, 2029

10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Anchor

Great Harbor, a softly sweeping indentation on the south side of the island of Jost Van Dyke, treats visitors to an eyeful of tropical loveliness before they even step foot on shore. But step ashore you must. The crescent-shaped beach that lines the harbor is the stuff of postcards, with its swaying palm trees, sugar-white sand, and calm, crystalline waters – perfect for swimming or snorkeling. Beyond the bay you'll find rustic, characterful shops and eateries, including legendary island mainstays like Christine's Bakery, which serves fresh breads and sticky buns, and Foxy's, one of the best-known beach bars in the Caribbean.

06.

St. John`s, Antigua And Barbuda

jan 08, 2029

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

St. John's is the compact, colorful capital of twin-island nation Antigua and Barbuda and an ideal base for exploring all that the islands have to offer. Step off the ship straight into the heart of the action: wander bustling markets; admire pretty, pastel-hued buildings; and discover historic sites like the neo-Baroque St. John's Cathedral and the Museum of Antigua and Barbuda, housed in the 18th-century Old Court House. Many of Antigua's beaches are within easy reach of St. John's, so take your pick. Dickenson Bay is a hit with swimmers and snorkelers for its calm, clear waters, while the powdery sands of Runaway Beach are perfect for more secluded relaxation.

07.

Basseterre, St Kitts And Nevis

jan 09, 2029

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Basseterre is the compact coastal capital of the Caribbean island St. Kitts, where verdant hills and sugar-white sands meet architectural artefacts of French and British colonial rule. The town center is anchored by Independence Square – formerly Pall Mall Square – an 18th-century plaza with an ornate fountain and lush lawn, while nearby, the Georgian-inspired Circus is modeled after London's own Piccadilly. Venture just beyond the city to explore the UNESCO-listed Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, an 18th-century British-built fortress that offers sweeping views and serves as a striking reminder of the island's layered history.

08.

Gustavia, French West Indies

jan 10, 2029

7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Anchor

The pretty, red-roofed harbor town of Gustavia is the beating heart of stylish St. Barts. High-end boutiques, ritzy restaurants, and iconic cocktail bars pepper the palm-fringed streets, while mere minutes from the town center, you'll find pristine stretches of sand and sparkling waters. Take your pick from dozens of beaches: Anse de Flamands presents camera-ready scenery, Baie de St-Jean has chic beachside bistros, and Anse du Grand Cul-de-Sac is a snorkeler's paradise. Just don't be surprised if you encounter an A-lister or two – the French-speaking Caribbean island has long been the preferred playground of billionaires and big-name movie stars.

09.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

jan 11, 2029

arrival 7:00 AM

Puerto Rico's capital makes a strong impression – even before you arrive on shore. Sailing into the harbor, keep an eye out for El Morro, a 16th-century citadel and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Castillo San Cristobal, a fearsome fortress built to scare away invaders, and La Fortaleza, the impressive official residence of the Governor of Puerto Rico. Once ashore, step back in time along cobbled streets and through squares flanked by pastel-colored Spanish colonial buildings. Or take your pick of beaches – will it be the golden-sanded Isla Verde, the snorkeler-approved El Escambrón, or the laid-back Ocean Park? Just don't leave San Juan without sampling a piña colada (or two) – the tropical cocktail was invented here in the 1950s.
