Itinerary

01.

Bridgetown, Barbados

apr 30, 2029

departure 6:00 PM

Compact but charismatic Bridgetown is the beating heart of Barbados. Established by the British as a trade hub in the 17th century, it retains reminders of British rule - particularly its UNESCO World Heritage-listed garrison complex. But this town has an identity all its own. Stroll its historic streets, get a taste of Bajan culture and cuisine at the bustling Cheapside Market, sample world-renowned rum at Mount Gay Visitor Center, and travel along the coast to St. Nicholas Abbey, an impeccably restored plantation dating from 1658. This being the Caribbean, there are of course pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and seemingly endless sunshine.

02.

Roseau, Dominica

may 01, 2029

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

9 EXCURSIONS

The capital of Dominica is compact but characterful, home to a bustling Old Market, lush botanic gardens, and a small museum that reveals a fascinating look at Dominica's past. Beyond Roseau's city center, retreat from the rush of daily life: discover volcanic black-sand beaches, fragrant tangles of rainforest, bubbling geothermal springs, and thriving wildlife, including the rare Sisserou parrot and sperm whales (this is the only country whose waters they live in year-round). Adventure-lovers should hike through rugged mountain terrain to the emerald waters of Titou Gorge – if the enchanting surroundings look familiar, it's because they feature in the film Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

03.

Basseterre, St Kitts And Nevis

may 02, 2029

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

10 EXCURSIONS

Basseterre is the compact coastal capital of the Caribbean island St. Kitts, where verdant hills and sugar-white sands meet architectural artefacts of French and British colonial rule. The town center is anchored by Independence Square – formerly Pall Mall Square – an 18th-century plaza with an ornate fountain and lush lawn, while nearby, the Georgian-inspired Circus is modeled after London's own Piccadilly. Venture just beyond the city to explore the UNESCO-listed Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park, an 18th-century British-built fortress that offers sweeping views and serves as a striking reminder of the island's layered history.

04.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

may 03, 2029

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

10 EXCURSIONS

Puerto Rico's capital makes a strong impression – even before you arrive on shore. Sailing into the harbor, keep an eye out for El Morro, a 16th-century citadel and UNESCO World Heritage Site, Castillo San Cristobal, a fearsome fortress built to scare away invaders, and La Fortaleza, the impressive official residence of the Governor of Puerto Rico. Once ashore, step back in time along cobbled streets and through squares flanked by pastel-colored Spanish colonial buildings. Or take your pick of beaches – will it be the golden-sanded Isla Verde, the snorkeler-approved El Escambrón, or the laid-back Ocean Park? Just don't leave San Juan without sampling a piña colada (or two) – the tropical cocktail was invented here in the 1950s.

05.

Samana, Dominican Republic

may 04, 2029

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Anchor

5 EXCURSIONS

White sands melting into turquoise waters, coconut palms swaying in the breeze; Samana is a tropical vision brought to life. You might be seduced into just lounging beneath a banana-leaf sunshade or snorkeling amid the clownfish, yet there's more to this peninsula. Watch humpback whales breaching the waves between January and March, ride on a horse to see the cascading El Limón waterfall, or admire the ancient petroglyphs created by the Taíno people in Los Haitises National Park. Whatever you choose, make time, too, to head to a bar on the Malecon and listen to the rhythms of merengue music.

06.

Grand Turk, Turks And Caicos Islands

may 05, 2029

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

5 EXCURSIONS

Switching off comes easily on Grand Turk. The paradisiacal capital of the Turks and Caicos archipelago offers an authentic and unhurried Caribbean experience, where snorkeling, sunbathing, and strolling the sleepy town are the only orders of the day. Should you wish to up the activity ante, embark on an exhilarating off-road adventure around the island or interact with friendly stingrays on a snorkeling excursion.

New York City, United States Of America

may 13, 2029

arrival 7:00 AM

The subject of numerous songs, the setting for countless movies and TV shows, a bigger star than the celebrities who call it home... New York City needs little introduction. From the glittering skyscrapers of its financial heart to the green lung of Central Park, the priceless masterpieces of its world-class museums to the dazzling lights of Times Square – icons exist at every turn. There's Broadway and Wall Street, Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street, but take time, too, to explore its lesser-known corners, such as the 28-acre Wave Hill public gardens in the Bronx, the colorful, restaurant-lined Doyers Street in Chinatown, and the 19th-century mansions of Victorian Flatbush.
