This epic voyage hugs the Pacific Coast of North America as we sail through a landscape of forested islands, great glaciers, and dramatic fjords. Leaving Vancouver, we travel along the breathtaking Seymour Narrows to Ketchikan, where many of the buildings balance on stilts over the water. Enjoy epic wildlife watching in Juneau and discover Gold Rush history in Skagway. Now comes a breathtaking spectacle as we cruise past the Hubbard Glacier, which calves great chunks of ice into the sea. In Sitka, the onion-shaped dome on St. Michael's hints at the town's Russian heritage, while Klawock brings more big nature in the Misty Fjords National Park. A relaxing sea day follows as we head for Canadian waters, calling at Victoria, where the architecture reflects the days of British rule. Cosmopolitan Vancouver is next, where our journey ends.

This tiny hamlet (population: 710) on rugged Prince of Wales Island was first settled by the Tlingit people, who used the site as a summer fishing camp. The impressive totem park, set on a hill overlooking the harbor, houses one of the largest collections in Alaska. Gaze skywards at skilfully carved replicas of the original poles that marked the village of Tukekan, as well as poles chiselled in recent decades. The heritage center, longhouse, and carving shed on the edge of town are well worth a visit to see the masterful craftsmen at work.
