The spotlight is on Southeast Asia and Australia during this 26-night cruise. From sultry Singapore we sail to Thailand, discovering palm-fringed beaches, peaceful temples, and bustling markets. We have two days to enjoy Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, with its blend of French colonial influence and traditional charm, before hopping over to Indonesia. Highlights here include the volcanic black-sand beaches of Celukan Bawang, thrilling water sports in Benoa, and a chance to see wild Komodo dragons in their natural habitat on Rinca Island. Australia brings more awe-inspiring nature – from the lush rainforests of Far North Queensland to the underwater marvels of the Great Barrier Reef – as well as the culture-rich cosmopolitan hubs of beachside Sydney and stylish Melbourne, where our journey comes to an end.

Itinerary

01.

Singapore, Singapore

nov 14, 2028

departure 6:00 PM

The Southeast Asian city-state of Singapore may be compact (it takes under an hour to drive from one end of the island to the other), but it certainly isn't short on excitement. Shop up a storm on the fashionable Orchard Road, discover vibrant street art and royal landmarks in Kampong Glam, soak up a heady aroma of spices in Little India, and find tranquility in one of the city's many urban parks and gardens. Whatever you do, just be sure to make the most of mealtimes. From bustling hawker centers doling out heaving bowls of chicken rice to fine-dining institutions with dishes so creative they'll stay with you long after you've scraped your plate clean, Singapore's culinary culture is a total thrill.

Surabaya, Indonesia

nov 24, 2028

7:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Gain a glimpse of authentic Indonesian life in Surabaya, the country's second-largest city. Its storied past dates back to the 13th century, when it was an important trade hub during the Majapahit Empire. Discover aspects of the city's history in the quirky Submarine Monument, a decommissioned submarine-turned-museum; at the Heroes Monument, a tribute to the tenacity of the Surabaya people in the Indonesian War of Independence; and in the Sunan Ampel Great Mosque, where traditional Javanese and Islamic architectures intertwine. Dive into the food scene with specialties such as rawon, a rich beef soup, and fruity rujak cingur salad, and try the coveted Indonesian coffee and one of the plentiful cafés.

12.

Celukan Bawang (Bali), Indonesia

nov 25, 2028

9:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Anchor

The port town of Celukan Bawang is the perfect gateway to explore the dreamy attractions of northern Bali, from its extensive beaches and its incredible waterfall landscapes to the tropical Banjar hot springs and impressive monuments such as the Brahma Vihara Arama monastery.

13.

Benoa (Bali), Indonesia

nov 26, 2028

7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Deep-rooted Hindu spirituality meets an easy-going surfer mentality on the heavenly Indonesian island of Bali. Ancient temples stand alongside vegan cafés and yoga studios; sleek villas and boutique hotels are shrouded in lush, tropical jungle; and the pristine coastline is peppered with cliffside beach bars. A day spent lolling under a beach umbrella is a day well-spent, but should you wish to ramp up the activity there's plenty to do, from cooking lessons to kitesurfing.

14.

Rinca, Indonesia

nov 27, 2028

11:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Anchor

The rugged Indonesian island of Rinca is smaller and lesser known than its famous neighbor Komodo, making it an ideal destination to spot the world's largest lizard, the Komodo dragon, in its natural habitat. You'll find the magnificent creature – endemic to a small pocket of southeast Indonesia – amongst golden grasslands, dense mangrove forests, rocky valleys, and even sandy beaches. As you explore the island, be sure to also keep an eye out for macaques, water buffalo, and Timor deer.

15.

Kupang, Indonesia

nov 28, 2028

10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Kupang, or Koepang to give it its Dutch name, enjoys a very international feel. The city was an important port and trading post during the Portuguese and Dutch colonial eras, and vestiges such as Fort Concordia give visitors a taste of the city's ex-colonial presence. However, local culture and cuisine are still very much Indonesian, as shown in the wonderfully vibrant markets (such as Pasar Oebobo 30 minutes from the port), a great place if you want to support the local economy with a spot of souvenir shopping. Indigenous artefacts can be found at the Kupang Museum, while those who want to explore the rainforest might like to travel the short distance to Oenesu Waterfall for exceptional bird-spotting opportunities

Darwin, Australia

nov 30, 2028

7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Many travelers will think of Darwin as the jumping-off point for The Kimberley, the port is, of course, the gateway to the Northern Territory's famous 1,800-million-year-old red rocks, but Darwin has many other things to offer the day-tripper. Two of Australia's most spectacular National Parks (Kakadu and Litchfield) are within an easy drive of the city, so even if you don't want to get the full Kimberley experience, the ancient rock formations, lush rainforests, cascading waterfalls, jumping crocodiles and breathtaking gorges give a bite-sized version of the region's natural diversity. If you prefer to stay in the city, expect a multicultural experience. Darwin is closer to Jakarta than Canberra, so local markets, cafes, and restaurants overflow with Asian influence.

Cooktown, Australia

dec 03, 2028

10:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Captain James Cook made his mark on this remote spot on Queensland's Cape York peninsula when, in 1770, he ran aground in the Endeavour. With cautious consent from the local Guugu Yimithirr people, he and his crew found a safe harbor to carry out their repairs. This momentous encounter and other fascinating stories are told at the Cooktown Museum, where you can also learn about the gold rush of the 1870s, when thousands of prospectors came to pan for their fortunes. Get your green fix at the serene Botanic Gardens, established in 1878, or head out to explore the wildlife-rich rainforests, sandy dunes, and lagoons. For fishing fans, Cooktown is a world-class destination – the Endeavour River teems with barramundi, mangrove jacks, and golden snapper. Just watch out for crocodiles.

For those who prefer their wildlife to be above the ground, Conway National Park offers tropical rainforests, waterfalls, and 447 native species.
