Then come the beautiful beaches of Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) and the wildlife-rich game reserves of East London. Stops in Durban and Richards Bay bring more of South Africa’s glorious coastal scenery and marine life into view, before we cross into Mozambique to visit its capital, Maputo. Two sea days take us further up Africa’s east coast to the Island of Mozambique. Connected to the mainland by bridge, it’s a UNESCO World Heritage site with fascinating architecture. Another sea day takes us to the dreamy island of Zanzibar, followed by Mombasa in Kenya, the gateway to awe-inspiring safaris. After two more lazy days at sea, we reach the Seychelles: Mahé for a first glimpse of the famous other-worldly granite boulders strewn like giant marbles across its beaches; then glamorous sister Praslin, one of only two places where the curious Coco de Mer fruit grows; and peaceful little La Digue for an authentic taste of Seychellois life. We head back to sea once more to encounter the Maldives, an impossibly beautiful necklace of coral islands beloved by scuba divers, where we overnight at Malé, the capital. Next, Colombo, the Sri Lankan capital, to browse the boutiques and galleries in the Pettah neighborhood and visit the National Museum. Then we arrive in India, at Mormugao, still guarded by its 17th-century fortress, and make for our final stop, the 24-hour city of Mumbai.

From June to mid-November, you can indulge in one of the most popular activities in Mossel Bay – whale watching.

Depart the quayside and travel to Botlierskop Private Game Reserve for an exciting wildlife viewing experience.Situated in the malaria-free Western Cape of South Africa, Botlierskop features a wide variety of ecosystems, including woodlands, coastal and mountain fynbos, and renosterveld. The Moordkuil River, a tributary of the Little Brak River, flows through the reserve, adding to the diversity of habitats that support a large number of animal species and rich birdlife. More than 200 bird species are found across the reserve&#39;s different ecological zones.The fynbos areas are home to unique plant species such as proteas, ericas, restios, and geophytes. Arrive in Oudtshoorn, the principal town of the Little Karoo, nestled between the Swartberg and Outeniqua ranges in a fertile valley enriched by the Grobbelaars River. This oasis-like region supports crops such as lucerne, fruit, grapes, and grains due to its abundant water and rich soil.Enjoy a refreshment stop with canapes in Oudtshoorn before returning to Mossel Bay via the Outeniqua Pass, constructed between 1943 and 1951 to replace the older Montagu Pass. Transfer from the quayside to the helipad at Mossel Bay Helicopters&#39; Hartenbos site, where guests will be welcomed with a refreshing drink. After check-in and weighing, a safety briefing will be conducted. The helicopter accommodates four seats, including the pilot&#39;s seat.Enjoy a 25-minute coastal scenic flight over Hartenbos and Mossel Bay, where sightings of marine animals such as whales, dolphins, and great white sharks are possible. The flight then continues over Bergsig Game Farm, a 4,000-hectare reserve rich in wilderness and indigenous flora. Keep an eye out for giraffe, rhino, Cape buffalo, hippos, and various antelope species.The helicopter will then descend into the African lion enclosure for an aerial viewing experience of the lions. Please note that you will remain inside the helicopter during this stop.Next, you will fly to a remote location to enjoy a specially arranged picnic in a scenic setting.
