Taking in the vibrant continents of India and Africa, via the white-sand idylls of the Seychelles and Maldives, this 25-night journey offers endless variety and fascination. Our voyage begins in the energetic city of Mumbai, heading south along the coast to the tranquility of Goa, where Buddhist temples and Catholic churches sit side by side beneath shady palms. Discover the culture of Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo, before we head west into the Indian Ocean to the Seychelles and Mauritius, where snorkeling and submarine trips reveal the beautiful sea life. Our journey then takes us to the east coast of Africa, with stops at Mombasa, Kenya’s capital, to discover its rich history as a trading hub, the spice forests of Zanzibar, and the palm-fringed beaches of Mozambique. Onwards to South Africa to explore four of its ports, including Mossel Bay, from where winelands and private game reserves wait to be visited, before finally sailing on to our final destination, Cape Town.

Set along the picturesque shores of Nelson Mandela Bay, Port Elizabeth has a rich history, that dates back to the early 19th century although the area was originally inhabited by the San and Khoikhoi people before being encountered by European explorers. Today, the city offers a variety of cultural experiences, with art galleries, museums, and theaters showcasing the region's heritage. The Route 67 public art trail, inspired by Nelson Mandela's 67 years of political life, is a unique attraction that blends art, history, and culture. Visitors can explore historical sites such as Fort Frederick, the Donkin Reserve, and the Campanile, a bell tower with panoramic views of the city. Port Elizabeth is at the end of South Africa's Garden Route. While considered one of the country's most important seaports and the center of its motor industry, it's also known for being the epicenter of South African water sports. As a result, much of the activity in “PE” takes place along its plentiful beaches. Marine life in the bay is abundant, as well, with plenty of dolphins and whales that can be spotted throughout the year.
