Visit a famous Middle Stone Age archaeological cave site at Pinnacle Point in the company of the archaeologist who made the discovery in 1997 and who introduced the sites to scientific research that began in 2000 under his and Dr Curtis Marean&#39;s directorship. Dr Peter Nilssen will take you on a journey into pre-history where you learn about human nature and behaviour, ancient environments, sea levels, food sources, cave formation processes, stone tool technology, and how our earliest ancestors managed to survive a near extinction event through their connection with and reliance on nature. Access the cave via a series of steep wooden stairs and boardwalks.&nbsp; On foot, make your way back to the Pinnacle Point clubhouse. You will have opportunity to visit the Mosaic tunnel and have lunch at a clubhouse restaurant with beautiful views. Return to the harbour.&nbsp;

Depart the quayside for your city tour of Cape Town, your first stop will be at the bottom of BoKaap which is situated at the foot of Signal Hill. Here you will have time to take some pictures of the colourful Cape Malay houses. BoKaap&rsquo;s origins date back to 1760s where these houses were leased to slaves, it was formerly known at the Malay Quarter. After your visit to BoKaap you will take a short drive to the Company Gardens, the oldest garden in South Africa. Established in 1652 by Jan van Riebeeck, it was originally used as a vegetable garden to supply fresh produce to passing ships. Located within the gardens are the red-bricked House of Parliament, the South African National Gallery, the Jewish Museum and the Great Synagogue. After your stroll through the Company Gardens you will reboard your coach and drive to Buitenkant street. Your next stop will be the Old Granary Building to visit the Truth to Power Exhibition. This new and exciting permanent exhibition explores the life of Desmond Tutu and The Churches in the struggle against apartheid.
