Our eight-night voyage around the Iberian Peninsula, from Lisbon to Barcelona, offers glimpses of the past and future in equal measure. Departing the old-world cobbled streets of Lisbon, we sail first to the Algarve to relax on the beautiful beaches of one of today`s favorite seaside resorts, Portimão. Crossing the border to Spain, one of Europe`s oldest cities, Cadiz, comes into view and the point is made about how close we are to the continent of Africa with a hop across the water to Tangier in Morocco. Sailing on to Málaga, there`s time to see modern masterpieces by Picasso in the museum in his name. A day at sea heralds arrival in Valencia, a city renowned for its futuristic architecture, before our voyage concludes in Barcelona.
