Your adventure begins as you depart the pier and travel to Strangford Lough to the embarkation point.
Arriving on the shores of Strangford Lough, you will begin to appreciate the beauty of the National Trust property of Castle Ward. Following a safety briefing with your skipper you will begin a stunning sightseeing boat trip where you can view the beautiful stately home from the water, get up close to the seals and experience ‘Seagen’, the world’s first electricity generating tidal turbine.
Coming ashore following your exhilarating experience, enjoy a relaxing tea or coffee with scones.
Refreshed, rejoin your motor coach and return to your Crystal ship.
Guests must be a minimum of six years old in order to participate. This excursion is not recommended for guests with neck or back problems or for women who are pregnant. It is recommended that guests dress in warm, layered clothing and wear flat, comfortable shoes. Guests should also bring raingear in case of inclement weather. As you may get wet on this excursion, any electronic devices (such as MP3 players, cell phones, cameras, etc.), as well as any valuable items must be stored in a sealable, waterproof dry bag or left on board the ship. Any damage occurring to these items are the responsibility of the guests. The order of sights visited may vary. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed. The operation of this excursion is dependent on prevailing weather conditions. A minimum number of bookings is required for this excursion to operate.
