Departing the pier by air-conditioned motor coach admire the city’s vintage architecture dominated by hundreds of Victorian homes clinging to steep wooded hillsides.

Your first stop will be at the Fort Clatsop, where the 33-member Lewis and Clark Expedition spent the winter of 1805-1806. After gaining insight into this historic landmark, travel to the area’s highest hill for views of the Columbia River and the magnificent Astoria Column. This beautiful monument, built in 1926, commemorates the westward sweep of discovery and migration; a fitting tribute to this region located at the western end of the Lewis & Clark Trail.

Next, visit the acclaimed Columbia River Maritime Museum, where you will have time to explore this museum of national distinction. Learn about marine transportation from the days of dugout canoes, through the age of sail, to the present, before returning to your Crystal ship.
