Enjoy a panoramic city sightseeing, passing landmarks en route to the Van Gogh Museum, in your air-conditioned motor coach and enjoy more of historic district of Amsterdam, allowing you a chance to admire its unique architecture. But the real star of the city awaits you inside the museum, where the world’s largest and most varied Van Gogh collection is on display.

Primarily exhibited in chronological order, Van Gogh’s paintings illustrate his own life, beginning with the darker portraits, such as the Potato Eaters, and ending with his more impressionistic and colorful works, such as Butterflies and Poppies. The brilliant and tragic life of Van Gogh is beautifully reflected in this display, which is visually enhanced by the architecture and lighting of the museum itself. As guiding is not permitted in the museum, you will receive an audio set to enjoy the exhibition at your own pace.

Afterward, walk approximately 20 minutes to the embarkation point of your canal cruise. Aboard a beautifully restored saloon boat, you will glide along the most important and iconic canals of Amsterdam and feel transported back in time. Admire the canal-side sights, including the gabled houses and elegant merchant’s mansions that help paint a picture of a unique cityscape. Lunch will be served during your approximately one-and-a-half-hour cruise.

Though your memorable canal experience draws to a close and you will be ending at the pier close to your Crystal ship.
