Savor the flavors of the Mediterranean as you join a knowledgeable guide for a walk through the Old Quarter, with stops at numerous venues for a sampling of delectable foods.

Your culinary discovery begins at the pier as you meet your guide and shuttle bus. Upon arrival in the city, begin your gastronomical walk. You will visit some of the most historical and traditional establishments in the Old Quarter, with a chance to mingle with the locals and experience the aromas, textures and tastes of foods unique to the region.
Up to eight tastings feature beverages such as horchata, a cold drink made of tiger nuts and water, and coca de mollitas, a savory tart with a crumble topping. Other delicacies may include flatbreads, wine, olive oil, cold meats, fresh fruits and a nougat called turron, traditionally enjoyed at Christmas. Meantime, your guide will feed your curiosity, explaining the gastronomical history of Alicante and describing the foods you will try.

Guests must be a minimum of 12 years old in order to participate. As this excursion involves walking for approximately 2½ hours over sometimes uneven surfaces, it is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties. It is recommended that guests dress casual clothing, a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, as well as wear flat, comfortable shoes. Some crowding may be expected at sights visited. Those guests with food allergies or special dietary requirements must advise 48 hours prior. The order of sights visited may vary. The operation of this excursion is dependent on prevailing weather conditions.
