Abu Dhabi City Survey
This outing offers an introduction to the sights and culture of Abu Dhabi, complete with a visit to the Grand Mosque and a stop to enjoy refreshments and stunning views at the Observation Deck at Etihad Towers.
DurationApproximately 4 hours
Leave the pier by minivan or motor coach and head to the Grand Mosque, also known as the Sheik Zayed Mosque. The largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates and the eighth largest mosque in the world, this truly grand mosque can accommodate 40,000 worshippers, with a main prayer hall that can accommodate 9,000.
After your mosque visit, travel to the Etihad Towers, a group of five towers completed in 2011 and hosting residences, offices, restaurants, designer shops and the luxurious, 5-star hotel, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers.
The towers also feature Observation Deck at 300, so named for its position 300 meters in the air, overlooking Abu Dhabi’s cityscape and surrounding islands.
Take in the views across the Observation Deck’s entire 74th floor while relaxing over refreshments. Then transfer to the pier via the Corniche, a road that unfurls over an impressive five miles and encompasses a manicured waterfront with play areas, cafes, restaurants and Corniche Beach.
Guests should dress conservatively for their visit to the UAE. Gentlemen must wear a collared shirt, full-length pants or elegant jeans, and comfortable, closed-toe shoes (no tennis shoes or other athletic wear). Ladies must wear a dress, skirt or dressy slacks, with shoulders and knees covered. Please bring a scarf, piece of cloth or other head covering to cover the head and hair for the visit to the Grand Mosque. This excursion will operate in all weather conditions.
