What better antidote to life in the fast lane in Mumbai than a relaxing voyage on the ocean? This cruise says a long goodbye to India, calling in at Mormugao under the watchful gaze of its 17th-century fortress. After a day at sea, we stop over at Colombo, the Sri Lankan capital, to browse the boutiques and galleries in the Pettah neighborhood and visit the National Museum. Another day at sea brings us to Malé, the capital of the impossibly beautiful string of coral islands, the Maldives. Back to enjoying the cruise life for a couple of days before we embracethe dreamy world of the Seychelles. We visit gorgeous Praslin, one of only two places where the Coco de Mer fruit grows, and peaceful little La Digue for an authentic taste of Seychellois life. Our final port is the largest island,Mahé, where an overnight stay offers more than enough time to lounge on perfect beaches strewn with the famous smooth granite boulders, an other-worldly sight for which the Seychelles are famed.
