On this captivating two-week voyage, the journey is as spectacular as the destinations we visit. We begin in the Icelandic capital, Reykjavík, where a dip in the Blue Lagoon is a must, then continue around the country`s coast to Ísafjörður and Akureyri, to discover remote communities and admire pristine natural landscapes. Two days at sea offer a chance to unwind fully as we head to the Arctic town of Longyearbyen, cradled by mountains and glaciers, where whales swim in the fjord and reindeers are a common sight. Returning south to Norway, we call at Honningsvåg, the northernmost point of mainland Europe, see the white-sand beaches of Leknes, and explore the historic maritime port of Bergen. The Norwegian capital, Oslo, marks the end of an extraordinary voyage.

11 EXCURSIONS

Reykjavik, Iceland picture
Formed by volcanic eruptions and settled by Norse Vikings, Iceland is an unforested land of volcanoes, hot springs, mountains, glaciers and northern lights. While its preserved language remains, this is a forward-thinking, eco-friendly country and Reykjavik is its capital where 60% of the population lives. Europe's second largest island is known for whale watching and its ancient maritime history.

Isafjordur, Iceland

aug 15, 2025

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

9 EXCURSIONS

Isafjordur, Iceland picture
Ringed by dramatic mountains and perched on a narrow fjord-side spit of land, this old trading post's as remote as they come – yet boasts a trending arts scene. Walk among tin-roofed homes built by salt fish merchants, admire seagoing artifacts and – for some reason – a world-class accordion collection at the Maritime Museum. Discoveries further afield might include splendid Icelandic waterfalls, a pint-sized botanic garden in the tundra, and tiny villages dwarfed by their surrounding peaks.

Akureyri, Iceland

aug 16, 2025

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

7 EXCURSIONS

Akureyri, Iceland picture
Situated on one of the most magnificent fjords in Iceland, bounded by snow-capped mountains and gently sloping pastures, the weather here is surprisingly moderate despite being just 60 miles from the Arctic Circle. Charming and historical, here you'll find over 2,000 species of plants in the Botanical Gardens, which thrive without the benefit of a greenhouse.

4 EXCURSIONS

Longyearbyen, Norway picture
Wrap up warm, the mercury rarely pushes much above freezing on a good day in the world's most northerly town, halfway between mainland Norway and the North Pole. Just a couple of thousand souls call this remote spot on the Norwegian island of Svalbard home – yet more than 10 times that number travel all the way here each year for a fleeting glimpse of life at the edge of the world. They are lured by the landscape carved by nature from the frozen earth and lapped by the Arctic, patrolled by arctic foxes, beluga whales and other precious wildlife. Here, humans and animals live in perpetual half-light for six months of the year, and, for the rest, constant darkness, lit only by the stars and the dancing lights of the aurora borealis. Get out on the water, hike in the mountains, go dog-sledding, meet the locals – this is a destination you will never forget.

Honningsvag (Nord Cape), Norway

aug 22, 2025

8:00 AM - 8:00 PM

6 EXCURSIONS

Honningsvag (Nord Cape), Norway picture
Nordkapp, also known as the North Cape is recognized as the northernmost point of mainland Europe and is renowned for its stunning landscapes. It enjoys a very happy placement in the world; at “just” 1,300 kilometers (800 miles) south of the North Pole, Nordkapp is still considered one of the northernmost accessible points in mainland Europe and offers breathtaking views of the Arctic Ocean and surrounding landscapes. The Midnight Sun casts its ethereal glow, illuminating the landscape during the surreal Arctic summer nights. Here, the remoteness is as profound as the beauty. Gaze upon dramatic cliffs that plunge into the frigid waters of the Barents Sea and stand in awe of nature's grandeur. Wildlife flourishes, from reindeer grazing against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks to flocks and flocks of seabirds soaring through the pristine skies. Embrace the Arctic's tranquility and the raw majesty of a place where the world seems to touch the heavens.

10 EXCURSIONS

Bergen, Norway picture
Mother Nature pulses through Bergen's veins. The pretty little town is flanked by a mesmerizing canvas of fjords, mountains, and waterways which must be seen to be believed, and cast in the shadow of majestic Mount Fløyen, and visitors who are not afraid of heights should enjoy sweeping views of the valley via the Fløibanen funicular. Bergen is everything you would expect it to be: colorful fishing huts dot the landscape while the vibrant Fish Market, perhaps the beating heart of the town, is where visitors immerse in the flavors of fresh seafood and local produce. Traditional dishes like `klippfisk` and `smørbrød` reveal a deep connection to coastal resources, and are very tasty to boot! Once you have had your fill of sensational landscapes and traditional food, then take a stroll to iconic Bryggen Wharf—a UNESCO World Heritage Site adorned with vibrantly hued Hanseatic buildings, echoing tales of centuries-old maritime trade.
