Our twist on this classic cocktail involves resting the bourbon in American Oak for a fortnight before adding vermouth and angostura bitters and gently combining to draw out the complex flavor. Take a sip and you’ll know why it’s worth the trouble.

Serves 1
Prep & Mix time: 2 minutes
INGREDIENTS
- 3 ounces Woodford Reserve bourbon, rested
- ½ ounce Antica Carpano vermouth
- ½ ounce Cynar amaro
- 3 dashes of Angostura bitters
- 1 Morello cherry to garnish
METHOD
Rest bourbon in an American Oak container for a minimum of two weeks. Stir all ingredients in a cocktail and strain into a cocktail glass. Add Morello cherry to garnish.
