A local expert will be your guide to this cool and cosmopolitan city. Wander through a labyrinth of bluestone laneways, ornate 19th-century arcades, and bohemian enclaves. From the arty grit of Fitzroy to the breezy, palm-lined vistas of St Kilda, each borough reveals a distinct rhythm and flavor. Be sure to sample Melbourne’s famed coffee; you’ll be spoiled for choice here.
Return to your hotel in the afternoon to check in and unwind. The evening is yours to enjoy, whether that means discovering a hidden wine bar, dining at one of the city’s famed restaurants, or simply strolling along the Yarra River admiring the city lights.
DAY
2
ULURU (AYERS ROCK)
Rise early for a relaxed breakfast before meeting your Tour Director in the hotel lobby. Today, you will leave the buzz of Melbourne behind and set your sights on the heart of Australia. A private transfer will take you to Melbourne Airport for your flight to Uluru, with a light meal served en route.
Upon arrival, a private group transfer will take you to your desert sanctuary – Sails in the Desert. Explore the resort’s facilities or simply soak up the heat-baked stillness of the outback.
Later in the afternoon, regroup with your Tour Director and set off with a local guide to witness Uluru at its most breathtaking – bathed in the amber glow of the setting sun. Sip chilled sparkling wine and savor light canapés as the immense monolith shifts from ochre to crimson, then finally a deep purple silhouette.
Tonight, an unforgettable shared BBQ experience will take place under the desert sky. Dine on sizzling meats, fresh salads, and a decadent dessert, all set to the backdrop of the cosmos. With minimal light pollution, the night sky comes alive here – your guide will take you on a celestial journey through the constellations and the Dreamtime stories they inspire.
DAY
3
ULURU (AYERS ROCK)
Before the first blush of dawn, meet your Tour Director who will take you into the inky silence of the desert. As Uluru rises on the horizon, witness sunrise in its most majestic form – a spectacle that stirs something ancient in the soul.
A picnic breakfast follows and a guided walk to Mutitjulu Waterhole. Here Aboriginal creation stories of Liru (the venomous snake) and Kuniya (the python) are etched into the rock and passed down through generations. Explore the geological and cultural layers of Uluru – a living monument that resonates far beyond its sandstone facade. A walk around the base offers further insights into Anangu traditions and the spiritual connection to this land.
Next, journey to Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), its mighty rock domes a vivid orange against the deep blue sky. In the Walpa Gorge, admire the serenity and grandeur of this ancient landscape. This is sacred ground – a place of myth and legend.
Returning to the resort by early afternoon, there's time to take a dip in the pool or opt for an optional 25-minute scenic helicopter flight over Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Whatever you choose, the desert will continue to inspire from every angle.
Later, sip sparkling wine and listen to the soulful hum of a didgeridoo as the sun dips below the horizon before a three-course, bush tucker-inspired buffet. Afterwards, you will witness the Field of Light experience – a multi-sensory installation by renowned artist Bruce Munro. Meander among 50,000 solar-powered glass orbs glowing softly across the desert floor – ethereal, immersive, and unforgettable.

Return to the resort for breakfast and spend a few hours enjoying the pool or taking a stroll, soaking up one last afternoon in the Red Center. Then it’s time to check out and head to the airport for your onward flight to Sydney. Upon arrival, a private group transfer will take you to your hotel.
