ARRIVE IN THE MASAI MARA

You will be met at the pier and transferred to the airport for your flight to the Masai Mara, with a brief stop in Nairobi for immigration formalities. You will then journey to your safari camp, but along the way you’ll experience your first game drive of the trip and enjoy a packed lunch from the ship. This area is home to one of the most diverse ecosystems in Africa. A spectacular array of wildlife lives here, including almost 600 species of bird, so you might encounter leopards, buffalo, elephants, rhinos and lions as well as many other animals.
After your game drive, you’ll have time to freshen up before a delicious dinner in the camp’s restaurant.

EXPLORE THE WILD, FROM DAWN TO DUSK

Your day will start early with a warm drink so that you’re refreshed and ready to join your guide on a thrilling morning game drive. Hyenas, giraffes, gazelles, hippos and more will be among the animals stirring into life. Return to camp for a late breakfast and a relaxed day at your leisure, including lunch at the restaurant, before wildlife-watching begins again. An evening game drive offers the opportunity to spot different animals, culminating in memorable sunset views as dusk falls. Back at camp, there is time to freshen up before another delicious dinner. Today, you will also have the option to pay for activities including a hot-air balloon ride at sunrise.

Today begins early with a warm drink, then a morning game drive as the animals stir into life. Return to camp for a late breakfast and another relaxing day, including lunch at the restaurant – a swim in the spectacular pool is a must. Come evening, you’ll set off on another game drive with sunset views. Back at camp there is time to relax, before a convivial dinner to conclude your stay. Today, you will also have the option to pay for activities including a hot-air balloon ride at sunrise.

DEPART FOR MOMBASA
MAASAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
You’ll wake up for an early breakfast before bidding farewell to this magical lodge to begin your journey back to the ship. A lunch box will be provided. You’ll fly to Mombasa, where you’ll be met and transferred back to the port to rejoin the ship and continue your cruise.
