COLOMBO-DELHI

COLOMBO, SRI LANKA


Once you have cleared all formalities, disembark your ship, you will be met by Akorn representative at the gangway, who will accompany you on your transfer from pier to airport. Arrive at the airport, you’ll be met at the airport arrival gate, assistance at check-in counter, immigration, boarding gate / aerobridge.
Arrive Delhi, guests will be met at the aerobridge / arrival gate and assisted for immigrations, claiming baggage. Thereafter, guests will be escorted to the meet and greet area, an Akorn representative will meet, welcome the group with garlands and proceed to your waiting air-conditioned vehicle and transfer you to your hotel.
Capital to seven different cultures over the course of its history, New Delhi is a fascinating fusion of them all. The art and architecture of the city reflects its ancient and multifaceted heritage. A Hindu fortress, a Mughal tomb, an Islamic minaret and mosque and a Bahai temple give an idea of the cultural richness of the city.
Time to refresh/relax before dinner is served at The Oberoi where you will spend the night.

DELHI-AGRA

NEW DELHI, INDIA


Check-out, after breakfast drive to Agra covering 200 kms in approximately 4 hrs.
Two great Mughal monarchs, Akbar and Shah Jahan, transformed the little village of Agra into a befitting second capital of the Mughal Empire - giving it the name Dar-ul-Khilafat {seat of the emperor}. Today, a visitor to Agra is caught up in a world of contrasting edifices of red sandstone and white marble, narrow allies and quaint buggies, and that irresistible charm that this favorite city of the Mughals still retains. Arrive Agra, proceed for a tour of Agra Fort, built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD, is predominantly made of red sandstone. The vast halls echo the voices of a bygone era and transport the visitor back through the passage of time.
You’ll be transferred to yur hotel The Oberoi Amarvilas for lunch.
After some rest, proceed to Mehtaab Bagh to see Taj Mahal from distance, being a Friday Taj Mahal will remain closed today.

AGRA-DELHI

AGRA, INDIA


An early morning visit to the Taj Mahal allows one to view this architectural marvel in a different light. Return to your hotel for breakfast before embarking on your journey to Delhi.
Arrive Delhi, proceed for lunch at “Indian Accent Restaurant” at hotel The Lodhi.
Following lunch proceed for a tour of New Delhi. You’ll visit Humayun’s Tomb, the first great example of Mughal architecture in India, it developed to become the hallmark of the Mughal Dynasty. Later, drive through the majestic boulevards of New Delhi designed by the Edwin Lutyens in 1920. Lutyens' Delhi includes the grand government buildings and parliament house. Drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidential Palace) is where the Viceroy once lived and now is the official residence of the President of India. It is an imposing structure with 340 rooms, constructed high up on Raisina Hill. View India Gate, a war memorial arch built in honor of 90,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives in World War I.
Thereafter, proceed to The Oberoi Hotel and check-in. Spend some time to unwind before dinner.

DELHI – MUMBAI

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight to Mumbai. You’ll be transferred to pier with a panoramic drive around tour of city highlights.
