CUSCO > MACHU PICCHU > SACRED VALLEY

CUSCO

Board the Vistadome Observatory Train and embark on one of the most spectacular train journeys on earth, as you glide through the Sacred Valley, along the Urubamba River to the mountain spa town of Aguas Calientes. Then onwards, to one of the most revered wonders of the world: the UNESCO World Heritage Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, a citadel in the clouds which was built as a retreat for Inca emperor Pachacuti in the 1400s but abandoned within a century. Discover architectural wonders such as the Sacred Temple of the Sun, and the mysterious carved stone set on a platform that dominates the plaza (likely to have been used for astronomical observations).
