Explore Kyoto’s atmospheric Arashiyama neighborhood, including the garden of Tenryu-ji Temple. After lunch, discover the glittering Kinkaku-ji Temple (Golden Pavilion) — covered with gold leaf and surrounded by green gardens — casting its delicate reflection in the tranquil pond beside it. Then, head to majestic Nijo Castle, home to two lavish palaces, beautifully landscaped gardens and an island-jeweled pond. Continue on to stroll Gion, Kyoto's historic geisha district. Gather tonight for a special dinner accompanied by a Geiko (Kyoto geisha) cultural performance.
