Following disembarkation, head inland through the countryside of East Bali to Besakih Temple, Bali’s largest and most important Hindu temple complex. After lunch at a local restaurant, travel to Kertha Gosa, a former royal court of the Klungkung Kingdom known for its historic pavilions, ornamental gardens and traditional ceiling paintings. Later, continue to Alila Manggis, your secluded boutique resort nestled in a seaside coconut grove. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure. Reconvene for dinner later in the evening.

MANGGIS – TEMPLES AND TRADITIONS

Delve into the countryside surrounding Sidemen, an area known for its traditional villages, agricultural scenery and slower pace of life. Here, visit Samsara Living Museum for insights into Balinese customs, community life and ceremonial traditions. Surrounded by rice fields and village landscapes, the experience offers a more personal introduction to the traditions and daily rhythms that continue to define eastern Bali today. After lunch, return to Alila Manggis for an afternoon at leisure. Reconvene for sunset cocktails and a farewell dinner.
