Are guests required to purchase travel insurance?

It depends. While it Is not required for most voyages, we recommend all guests to purchase some sort of travel insurance to protect their trip. At Crystal we are partnered with Allianz Travel to make the process simple. Your Travel Advisor or Personal Cruise Consultant can provide additional information.

For certain destinations, Inbound Travel Insurance is a requirement of the local government for entry. In most cases, this can be secured by Crystal prior to arrival. If insurance is not able to be secured by Crystal on the guest’s behalf, our team will advise guests pre-arrival, or while onboard, and provide instructions on how to do so. It is then the Guest’s sole responsibility to obtain and have available, when necessary, the appropriate valid travel documents prior to arrival. You may be refused boarding or disembarked without liability for refund, payment, compensation, or credit of any kind if you are unable to visit the destination due to lack of necessary documents. For guidance about the necessary travel documents needed for your trip, please visit the local governments website for the most up to date requirements based on nationality.
