Atacama Desert Adventure

Day 1: Drive to the small desert town of San Pedro de Atacama and check into Noi Casa Atacama, a gorgeous sustainable retreat where the low-rise rooms are each decorated with native art and has its own private terrace. After lunch, visit a 3,000-year-old village that has been miraculously preserved by being buried in sand. Perhaps go for an afternoon stroll (if you're peckish, the empanadas at Emporio Andino are legendary) or simply stay put, relaxing by the inviting pool or in the spa.

Day 2: A full day trip to the Miñique and Miscanti lagoons in the Los Flamencos National Reserve – with views of the imposing Licancábur volcano and stops at the towns of Toconao and Socaire on the way. At an altitude of 4,300 metres, the intense blue of the lagoons makes for a unique contrast to the mountain backdrop. After a guided walk, continue to the Chaxa Lagoon, part of the extraordinary Atacama Salt Flat and the best place to see a flamboyance of flamingos.

Day 3: Set out on an early drive to the Tatio Geysers, arriving a spectacular plateau for a sunrise picnic breakfast. Then, there’s a guided walk near the geothermal field: at 4,300 metres it’s the highest in the world, with columns of water and steam shooting up to 10 metres tall. Bathe in the rejuvenating thermal pools nearby before returning to San Pedro de Atacama. Late afternoon, visit Moon Valley, an otherworldly lunar landscape that’s part of the Salt Mountain Range with salt statues (known as Las Tres Marias) before sundowners at the panoramic Kari viewpoint.

Day 4: Fly from Calama airport to Santiago. Before rejoining the ship, lunch at Casas Del Bosque Winery in the Casablanca Valley, famous for its cool-climate wines and modern Chilean food.

Magnificent Iguazu Falls

Day 1: Transfer from the ship for the 40-minute drive to Navegantes Airport and the flight to Iguazu Falls. Transfer and check in for three nights at Belmond Das Cataras, a luxury 5-star hotel in the heart of the falls. Dine and overnight in the hotel.

Day 2: After breakfast, visit the Argentinian side of the falls. Leave the hotel, crossing the Tancredo Neves Bridge, drinking in stunning views along the way. Upon arrival at Iguazu National Park, board a small train to the upper and lower circuit trails for more spectacular views of the waterfalls and endemic nature. The highlight is the suspended platform at the brink of the 'Garganta del Diablo' waterfall. Enjoy lunch nearby before returning to the hotel for dinner.

Day 3: Begin the day with a generous breakfast before a guided tour of the Brazilian side of the falls. Visit the fall during an exclusive access before they open to the general public. Hike down the trail to enjoy panoramic views of over 240 falls, then board a glass elevator to a viewing platform. Explore the lush Mata Atlantica rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch, embark on the Macuco Safari, traveling through the jungle by open jeep and boat, experiencing the thrilling Macuco Falls up close. Conclude the day with dinner at the Chef's House for a four-course meal inspired by Brazil's 500 years of native, African, and European history.

Day 4: Transfer to the airport for the flight to São Paulo.

Island-hopping in the Galápagos
A spectacular wildlife adventure in the Galápagos, Ecuador's extraordinary national park renowned for its raw natural beauty and endemic species.

Day 1: Fly to Baltra, a tiny island in the Galápagos archipelago, to begin this extraordinary wildlife tour. Take a boat across the aquamarine waters of the Itabaca Channel to the island of Santa Cruz, then drive through the rural interior spotting endemic species en route, to a private reserve in the highlands where you can get up close to giant Galápagos tortoises in their natural habitat. Next stop, the Charles Darwin Research Station, a breeding centre for tortoises (spot them in the giant prickly-pear cactus forest), where they are born and raised before being released into the wild, and the headquarters for science and conservation in the Galapagos.

Day 2: The next two days are spent exploring the islands of this fascinating archipelago by boat. Bartolome (which includes a dinghy ride to Sullivan Bay for snorkelling or the chance to spot the Galápagos Penguin); Seymour Island and Bachas beach (the former is famous for large colonies of frigates and blue-footed boobies); South Plaza Island for a wildlife-spotting hike and Punta Carron for snorkelling and a swim; or Santa Fe, known for endemic species including the Galapagos hawk, Galapagos snake, land iguanas, and the Galapagos mockingbird.

Day 3: Hop back on the boat for another full-day tour, today experiencing different islands, different activities, and a host of different wildlife, with surprise discoveries around every corner.

Day 4: Fly back to Ecuador's port city of Guayaquil, which most travellers tend to overlook. Highlights includes Bolivar Park known for its colourful, roaming iguanas; Malecon 2000, a game-changing urban-renewal project on the Guayas River that combines historic monuments, museums and shopping malls; and a behind-the-scenes look at the Toquilla workshop which makes Panama hats.

Day 1: Morning transfer from Manta Port to Quito via Manta Airport. Afternoon arrival at Hacienda La Compañía, a stunning rose plantation from the Jesuit order with historical roots. Explore the estate, learn about Ecuadorian rose cultivation, and even create your bouquet before transferring to Hacienda Zuleta, a 17th-century working farm with breathtaking mountain views. Enjoy lunch made from local organic food before a tour presentation. The afternoon is yours to explore the grounds. Dine in the on-site restaurant.

Day 2: Early risers can begin their day with a wildlife-filled sunrise walk to observe the farm’s morning rituals. After a hearty breakfast, take a guided tour of the renowned cheese factory, then explore the 4,000-acre estate by bike, on foot, or horseback. After a lunch of freshly caught trout, there is an optional excursion to an embroidery workshop to meet members of the Zuleta community, then a carriage ride through the eucalyptus alley and a visit to the village library, maybe even helping local children with their homework. Enjoy a farewell bonfire in the evening.

Day 3: Enjoy a final breakfast at Hacienda Zuleta before transferring to Quito airport for your flight to Guayaquil. Upon arrival, transfer to the port.

Mendoza Wine Experience

Day 1: Transfer from Montevideo to Mendoza, then enjoy the 30-minute journey to Benegas Winery, a 125-year-old Bodega with stunning Andes views. Settle in for a wine-tasting and paired dinner in one of the region's oldest wineries. After dinner, check-in at Cavas Wine Lodge, a luxurious hotel and spa in a 55-acre vineyard. Day 2: After breakfast, visit Agrelo, the prime winery area in Mendoza, Argentina's answer to Napa Valley. Start with a tour and tasting at Catena Zapata, an estate renowned for its high-altitude wines. Finish the tour with a gourmet paired foodie experience at the winery's restaurant. Continue to Quimera Winery for a tasting and lunch. The beautiful winery in the heart of Agrelo promotes Mendoza's smaller producers. In the evening, dine at Centauro Restaurante, celebrated for its diverse, locally sourced menu and award-winning wine cellar.

Day 3: Visit Casa Chacras, a historic mansion in Chacras de Coria, for wine tastings paired with local cheeses and cold cuts with winemakers Juan Pablo Lupianzo and Federico Isgro. The stunning settings add gravitas to the experience. Lunch will be a seven-course meal at Assemblage by Alta Vista, highlighting French and Argentine culinary techniques, followed by a tour of the Alta Vista winery and vineyard. In the evening, dine at Soberana Restaurant, known for its Argentine and international cuisine blend and a Michelin Guide 2024 favorite.

Day 4: Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Buenos Aires.

Machu Picchu Adventure
A mind-bending four-day trip combining Peru's extraordinary mountainscapes with the greatest train journey in the world – taking in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, ancient temples in Cusco, bucket-list Machu Picchu and a traditional Andes mountain village.

Day 1: Fly to Cusco, high in the Andes, once the capital of the Inca Empire, and the gateway to the Sacred Valley. En route to the Sacred Valley visit Manos de la Comunidad, a breeding center where you can meet and feed llamas and alpacas (and buy deliciously soft artisan-made blankets woven sustainably from fibers of their coats). Dinner and overnight at Tambo del Inka.

Day 2: Board the Vistadome Observatory Train and embark on one of the most spectacular train journeys on earth, as you glide through the Sacred Valley, along the Urubamba River to the mountain spa town of Aguas Calientes. Then onwards, to one of the most revered wonders of the world: the UNESCO World Heritage Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, a citadel in the clouds which was built as a retreat for Inca emperor Pachacuti in the 1400s but abandoned within a century. Discover architectural wonders such as the Sacred Temple of the Sun, and the mysterious carved stone set on a platform that dominates the plaza (likely to have been used for astronomical observations). A truly sensational day. Take the Vistadome Observatory Train back to the Sacred Valley. Dinner and overnight at Tambo del Inka.

Day 3: Discover Paucartambo, an Andean highland community known as the Village of Flowers, which is home to the Incan Q’eros. Meet Quechua-speaking farmers and weavers who share stories about their cultural traditions and way of life today, before a textile making demonstration and a walk, accompanied by flutes and drums, to the fields for a blessing of the land. After lunch, a guided tour of Cusco includes the sacred site of Koricancha - the most important temple in the Inca Empire - and Spanish colonial Cusco Cathedral. In the evening, stroll to the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art for a special dinner at the Map Café. Overnight at the Belmond Monasterio.

Day 4: Fly from Cusco to Lima. After an early lunch, transfer to Pisco and embark your ship.

Timeless Cappadocia
Choose your own adventure in Cappadocia, Turkey. From floating over jaw-dropping geology to exploring underground caves and even trying your hand at pottery, and sipping tea with the locals, this overland excursion has something for everyone.

Day 1: Begin your adventure with a flight to Nevsehir and a short transfer to Cappadocia. Explore Pasabag (Monks Valley), famous for its "fairy chimneys", unique rock formations formed by volcanic upheaval, many of which have unique mushroom-shaped caps. The name "Monks Valley" comes from the hermit monks who once lived in these formations, carving out cells and small chapels within the rock. Check in to Argos, a luxury 4-star hotel in the heart of Cappadocia. Dine in the hotel.

Day 2: Begin your day with an optional hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia's stunning landscape. Visit Goreme Open Air Museum and Ortahisar Weavers Association then sit down to lunch in a local family's garden. In the afternoon, adventurous explorers can crawl through Kaymaklı's intricate underground network of caves or go trekking in Onion Valley. Other options include relaxing at the hotel and enjoying its amenities or visiting Sinassos, an ancient Greek village, for tea and shopping. Dine in the hotel.

Day 3: If weather conditions were unfavorable yesterday, today offers another optional early morning hot air balloon ride. Then, choose one of two activities: hiking in stunningly beautiful Red Valley with a local expert guide or visiting Avanos to meet local potters and try your hand at the potter's wheel. Conclude your journey with a transfer back to Nevsehir Airport, enjoying a lunchbox with 'pideh', a stuffed Turkish flatbread, before rejoining the ship.
