Then, head inland toward the heart of the Southern Alps. Your next photo stop will be at stunning Lake Clearwater. Surely, the views over the lake to the mountain peaks beyond will leave you in awe.
Next, it’s on to Mt. Potts station, home of Edoras, where you will experience first-hand why this remote location was selected for a filming location for the epic Lord of the Rings. Guests should be aware that this excursion involves approximately four-and-a-half- hours of travel by motor coach; however, the fascinating sights included in this excursion are its main focus and more than compensate for the extensive drive time. Although the sights visited are wheelchair accessible, guests must be able to embark and disembark the motor coach with little to no assistance. This excursion involves approximately 400 yards of walking over a mix of paved and unpaved surfaces; therefore, it is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties. It is recommended that guests dress in casual clothing, wear flat, comfortable shoes and bring along a light jacket or sweater. The order of sights visited may vary.
