Pre-reservation of this Crystal Adventures excursion is recommended.
Stepping into your private stretch limousine or limo coach at the pier, begin your scenic drive to Acadia National Park. This 35,000-acre preserve, most of which was donated by the Rockefeller family to the U.S. Government, encompasses a forested wilderness crisscrossed by special carriage trails built by the Rockefellers more than 100 years ago.
Your limousine will trace the ocean’s edge before stopping at Thunder Hole, where under the right tidal conditions, ocean swells converge with a thunderous roar against granite cliffs. You may watch this phenomenon from the top of the road or take the stairs down to the water’s edge.
You will then make a swing through the quaint-yet-elegant villages of Seal Harbor and Northeast Harbor, the last two bastions of old-money wealth on Mount Desert Island.
Weather conditions permitting, continue up the slopes of Cadillac Mountain. At the Atlantic coast’s highest peak, you will pause for breathtaking views of the rocky coast and offshore islets.
Delight in the company of friends and enjoy the flavors of Maine over your pleasant luncheon before returning to the pier and your Crystal ship.
