On arrival, proceed through Chinatown, Bangkok’s commercial center for more than 200 years, and pass the colorful flower and fruit market known as Pak-Klong-Talad.

Dazzling in their regal splendor are the many spires and gables of the Grand Palace, which is surrounded by high walls. Your walking exploration of its grounds will include the Emerald Buddha at Wat Phra Keo. This small statue of green stone is revered as Thailand’s principal image of Buddha. You will also see the Golden Chedi, the Pantheon of Kings and the Towers of the Nine Planets.

Lunch will be served at a local hotel. Afterward, you will proceed to Wat Trimitr to view the famous five-and-a-half-ton, solid gold Buddha image.

Time permitting, you will pause at a gem factory and browse among a range of vibrant Thai silks before returning to your Crystal ship.
