Begin your adventure at your Crystal ship, where your guide will share some important safety information about the bikes – your mode of transport through the city of Bamberg en route to the Seehof Summer Palace Gardens.

During your 45-minute ride, you’ll enjoy the wind in your face as you explore the charms of the medieval city. Make special note of the architecture along your route, as Bamberg’s structures and city layout have been considered some of the most important influences on German cityscapes for centuries.

Leaving the city for the rolling countryside, you’ll arrive at the palace, you’ll park your bike and embark on a comprehensive quest into the unique culture of the church princes in the Holy Roman Empire. Built in 1686 for the Prince-Bishops, the palace fell into great disrepair after the secularization of the region but restored in the late 20th century.

Tour the 50-acre park surrounding the palace, which boasts restored orangeries, or greenhouses, with their citrus fruits and 300-year-old hedge tunnels. The fully restored and functioning cascade fountain (visible from May through October) and hundreds of intricate statues have made this park one of the most famous in Germany. Then, hop aboard your bike for the return ride to your Crystal ship.
