Coffee Plantation & Tegallalang Rice Terraces

From here, continue to the village of Tegallalang, famous for its picturesque rice terraces. Following the contours of the steep hillsides, the rice paddies have a history going back thousands of years, and still use the traditional cooperative irrigation system called the subak. High above the terraces are scenic overlooks and streets lined with art galleries, cafes and souvenir shops, ideal spots from which to take in panoramas of the velvety green terraces dotted by palm trees.
Pause to take some pictures and then depart for a local restaurant to enjoy lunch.
Next, head to the town of Celuk, known as a center for crafting works in gold and silver. Admire unique designs and perhaps observe artisans demonstrating their skills before returning to the pier with a journey of about 90 minutes.
Guests should be aware that this excursion involves extensive travel by motor coach, including an approximately 90-minute transfer from the pier to the coffee plantation, and an approximately 90-minute transfer from Celuk village to the pier; however, the fascinating sights included in this excursion are its main focus and more than compensate for the length of the journey. As this excursion involves walking over uneven surfaces, it is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties. It is recommended that guests dress in casual clothing and wear a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and flat, comfortable shoes. This excursion will operate in all weather conditions. Some crowding can be anticipated at the coffee plantation and Tegallalang rice terraces. The order of sights visited may vary.
