A full-day outing offers a full appreciation of the wonders of Bali, both natural and manmade. In addition to marveling at views of the Batur volcano and lake in Kintamani, and enjoy visits to a temple, plantation and residential compound.
Following your temple visit, relax during your motor-coach journey of nearly two hours that will deliver you to the village of Kintamani. Pause to savor a buffet lunch and then discover some of the area’s interesting sights, not the least of which is the volcano and lake. Perched on the rim of the vast Batur caldera, Kintamani is an ideal place from which to survey dramatic views of the lake and active Batur volcano.
Gain insights into how the locals live with a visit to a Balinese residential compound and a nearby plantation, where spices such as vanilla and herbs are grown.Travels of approximately one hour will next bring you to the village of Kemenuh, known as a hub for Balinese woodworking.
A memorable day of discovery drawing to a close, enjoy the one-hour return journey to the pier.
Guests should be aware that this excursion involves several hours of travel by motor coach, including an approximately one and a half hour journey from the pier to Batuan temple and an approximately two-hour journey from Batuan temple to Kintamani; however, the fascinating sights included in this excursion are its main focus and more than compensate for the length of the journey. It is recommended that guests dress in casual clothing and wear a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and flat, comfortable shoes. Guests should also bring along raingear, including an umbrella, in case of inclement weather. This excursion will operate in all weather conditions.
