Walk to the ferry terminal and take in the scenery during the approximately 45-minute ferry cruise to Waiheke Island. On arrival at Matiatia Wharf, you will be met by your island guide and launch your exploration of Waiheke, a sensory delight of enchanting landscapes and delicious foods.

First, make a visit to award-winning Rangihoua Estate, renowned for being the first estate to produce olive oil in the North Island. Since Rangihoua’s inaugural harvest in 1997, the estate continues to earn accolades and a loyal following. Learn how extra virgin olive oil is produced and taste a variety of olive oils, which may include the peppery Greek-style koreneiki, the Spanish-style picual and the Tuscan-style frantoio, as well as island blends. Also sample the estate’s honey and herb spread, true indulgences for the taste buds.

Next, enjoy your visit to Stonyridge Vineyard. Founded in 1982, Stonyridge is a world-class producer of Cabernet blends and maker of one of New Zealand’s famous cult wines, Larose. Step into the Barrel Cellar to taste the winery’s premium wines. Depending on availability, you may sample Pilgrim, New Zealand’s first Rhone Ranger wine made with the classic “GSM” blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. It is quite likely you will also sip Larose, the winery’s famed Bordeaux-style, Cabernet-dominant blend.

From here, continue to Mudbrick Vineyard for a wine tasting and two-course lunch, including two glasses of wine. Relax and chat with your fellow oenophiles amid a romantic, Tuscan-style ambiance, with a touch of elegance denoted by a formal dining experience. Views across the Waitemata Harbor toward Auckland add visual appeal to your palate-pleasing meal.

After lunch, transfer to the ferry terminal, where you will catch the catamaran ferry for the return sail to Auckland and your Crystal ship.
