New for 2018

Board the motor coach at the pier in Apia and climb up Mount Vaea to Vailima, and visit the estate and museum of renowned author and poet Robert Louis Stevenson. An adventurous traveler himself, Stevenson moved here with his wife and son in 1889, making Vailima his home. He died in 1894, and the people of Apia buried their beloved “tusitalia” (storyteller) on a hilltop overlooking the land he’d come to adore. Spend time at the museum and learn about the life and work of this gifted writer.

Drive across the island next, through Upolo and descend to the South Coast, where the falls of Le Papapapaitai mark time through uninterrupted cascades. Have your camera at the ready to photograph the longest waterfall in Samoa.

After the falls have wet your appetite for a dip, continue to Maninoa and the Fiafia Beach Club. Spend time sunning and swimming and enjoy a Samoan buffet lunch under the palm trees, accompanied by the sweet song and dance of the locals.

Finally, get a glimpse of the Samoan lifestyle on a drive through the city and its surrounds on your way back to the ship. At a brief stop at a local market, you may choose to stroll through the vendor stalls or remain on the coach.

Pre-reservation of this Crystal Adventures excursion is recommended.
