Your four-wheel-drive vehicle will be waiting for you at the tender dock. Accommodating four guests each, these island-style Jeeps are not brand new, but are rugged and ready to treat you to a memorable independent island exploration.

Each Jeep accommodates four guests, including the driver. If you are 25 years or older, feel free to take the wheel and literally be in the driver’s seat of your own adventure.

Head out onto the one and only road that encircles the island, traversing surfaces that are a combination of sand and concrete. Heed fair warning: Do no drive off the road, as you might get stuck, with no one within reach to help.

During your drive, you might stop at famous Cow Wreck Bay, so named for a ship carrying cow bones that wrecked on the reef just offshore in the 1800s. The beach hosts soft, white sands and a rustic, open-beamed bar and restaurant, a great place to sip a beverage and drink in the scenery.

If you wish, take a swim before continuing along the north coast, passing the salt ponds where you may spot a flock of flamingos. At Loblolly Bay, you can do some snorkeling and relax under the shade of the sea grape trees. A bar and grill on the beach welcomes you in case you are hungry for a snack.

After about three hours of exploring this fascinating coral island, return to the tender dock, where you will turn in your Jeep.

Important Notes:

Guests must be a minimum of 25 years of age and have a valid driver’s license in order to drive the Jeep.
