On entering Harriman Fjord, no doubt you will be awestruck by views of majestic peaks and vast glaciersCruising to the end of the fjord, your captain will stop the vessel in front of Surprise Glacier to give you an amazing look at this active sheet of ice, a massive tidewater glacier with jagged blue crevicesAn icon of Alaska's ever-changing landscape, the glacier moans and cracks under its own weight as it sheds great chunks of ice into the water below. After spending some time in front of this impressive natural phenomenon, cruise through Esther Passage, a narrow waterway surrounded by mountainsKeep an eye out for whales, sea otters and sea lions as you cross through to the passage's entrance.
