Amsterdam Sights by Segway
Encounter the sights of Amsterdam by Segway, the two-wheeled, battery-operated, standup vehicle that is fun, easy to operate and offers a truly unique way to venture along city streets.
DurationApproximately 21/2 hours
Your outing begins with a drive to the location where your Segway Adventure will begin.
Once equipped with your helmet and briefed, take your easy-to-maneuver vehicle along Amsterdam’s canals and avenues, seeing such landmarks as the Royal Palace, which dominates the central square; the New Church, where members of the royal family are inaugurated; the Portuguese synagogue built in 1675 and an enduring icon of the city’s Jewish heritage; Waterloo Square, famous for its secondhand market; the Amstel River, from which Amsterdam takes its name; and Rembrandtplein, home to a variety of cafes, bars and restaurants.
Meanwhile, your guide will offer insights into the city’s history and the particular habits of the Dutch. Of course, one of the best-known and widespread habits of the locals is traveling through Amsterdam on two wheels, a practice you have been able to experience today, with a twist.
Concluding your Segway adventure, return to the starting point for a drive back to the pier.
