Board the motor coach at the pier and drive about an hour to Amami Park on the eastern shore. Stop at Cape Ayamaru for the beautiful views of the surrounding land and sea, and learn how the cape got its name. Continue to the cultural center in Amami Park for an in-depth look at the history, culture, wildlife and industry of Amami. Experience the songs and dance of the region in videos playing on the screen, and watch the featured movie, "Jewel of the Subtropics – The Story of the Seas and Forests in Amami," which explores the flora and fauna of the area.
Visit the Tanaka Isson Memorial Museum of Art and see the works of this master artist. Tanaka spent 20 years dedicated to the art and splendor of Amami, and his works on display are grouped by the time periods in his life.
Afterward, ride on the motor coach back to the pier.
This excursion is wheelchair accessible.Although the sights visited are manual-wheelchair accessible, guests must be able to embark and disembark the coach/van/transportation with little to no assistance. All wheelchair guests should be accompanied by a family member or assistant. All manual wheelchairs must be collapsible and be easily stored onboard the motor coach/van/transportation. It is recommended that guests wear casual clothing and flat, comfortable walking shoes. The order of sights may vary. This excursion will operate in all weather conditions.
