It’s a 45-minute drive from the pier to Cabo de Gata Nature Reserve, Spanish for “cape of the cat.” Meet your experienced guides for a safety briefing and paddling orientation. Then climb aboard and slip your oars into the water to discover Cabo de Gata, and see why UNESCO granted its geopark declaration in 1997.

Andalusia’s first protected marine-terrestrial reserve, Cabo de Gata is home to numerous exclusive species of flora and fauna, as well as one of Europe’s most arid ecosystems. From your kayak, see volcanic cliffs, protected coves, and thriving coral reefs. If you wish, take advantage of the time allotted and go for a swim and snorkel in these crystalline waters.

Enjoy a light picnic lunch before returning to the pier.
