Discover Novelda’s architectural gems is Mariá Magdalena Sanctuary, designed by local engineer José Sala on his return from Barcelona. Clearly, Sala was inspired by the work of Antoni Gaudi, as the sanctuary, dedicated to the patroness of the Novelda, incorporates the fluid and curved elements of Gaudi’s famed Sagrada Familia.
Following your encounter with Novelda’s Art Nouveau masterpieces, travel to appreciate the work of local winemakers as you visit Bodega Heretat de Cesilia. A guided exploration illuminates the wine-making process and the history of the wine cellar, and also shows you old machinery and its evolution up to the present day. At the conclusion of your tour, you will taste a selection of two different of wines.
Raise your glass to a fine outing before returning to the pier, enjoying a short panoramic drive through Alicante along the way.
