Wadi 4x4 Safari
Travel aboard a rugged 4WD vehicle for a privileged trek through the many faces of the Emirates landscape, from beaches to farmland, small villages to rugged mountains.
DurationApproximately 4 hours
Climb aboard a rugged 4WD jeep at the pier, and travel to Al Ghail village via the Masafi Pass. Pass through several villages and an Islamic cemetery approaching the Hajar Mountains.
Relish the inspired views as your driver pilots the jeep through and around spectacular canyons and rugged wadis (dry valleys that fill with rainwater) in the mountains. Along the way, take a break for refreshments and visit one of the small parcels of farm lands dotting the mountain outcrops. Continue your journey through the wadis up to a tarmac road in the small village of Asimah.
Entering back into Dibba along the Masafi highway, take the paved road to Badiya village and the Al Badiya mosque. Believed to be the oldest mosque in the UAE, dating back to the 15th century, this mud brick structure stands below ancient watch towers facing the Indian Ocean beyond the valley. Have your camera ready to capture the moment before heading back to pier.
Guests will have a restroom stop en route to the port, but guests are reminded that facilities are very basic as these are public toilets. Photo stop at Al Badiya mosque is from an exterior viewpoint only. This excursion is not wheelchair accessible. Guests should wear lightweight, comfortable clothing, and bring sunglasses and sunscreen.
