The Wall City Of Taroudant

In contrast to modern Agadir, the walled village of Taroudant is a living monument to the Saadians, who established the city as their 17th-century capital. Admire the old buildings, highlighted against the misty backdrop of the High Atlas Range.

Departing the pier, travel by air-conditioned motor coach to exotic Taroudant, where you will begin your half-day exploration. As you venture into the Moroccan countryside, look for the unusual goats that actually climb the argon trees in order to snack on their delicate foliage.

Taroudant's well-preserved city walls have a distinctive red cast because of the mineral-rich mud that went into their construction. Enjoy exploring the city ramparts before entering the souk on foot. Here you will find a wide range of unique items for sale. Please stay with the guide so you do not get lost in its labyrinth of vendor stalls.

A refreshment stop will be made at a local hotel before you return to your Crystal ship.

Important Notes: As this excursion involves walking over uneven surfaces and stair climbing, it is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties. It is recommended that guests wear flat, comfortable shoes.
