Embark on an awe-inspiring voyage around Alaska, on this roundtrip from the Canadian oceanfront city of Vancouver. Cruising through the Seymour Narrows, our first stop is the cultural hub of Ketchikan, where the houses are built on stilts over the water and beautiful Native American totem poles abound. Alaska’s cultured capital Juneau is next, then historic Skagway, famous for its preserved Gold Rush-era buildings, before we cruise past the spectacular Hubbard Glacier. Arriving in Sitka, view the onion-shaped dome of Saint Michael’s, which serves as a visual reminder of the days when this was Russian territory. Now it’s south to Klawock, a significant center of Tlingit culture. A day at sea brings us to Victoria, Canada, where the architecture harks back to the times of British rule, before we return to Vancouver.
