10 ports
This 12-night roundtrip voyage from Québec City showcases the best of Canada’s east coast. Our first port of call is beautiful Baie-Comeau on the shores of the St. Lawrence River, followed by Havre-Saint Pierre, a nature lover’s paradise thanks to its lovely beaches and epic hiking trails. A day at sea brings us to Saint Pierre et Miquelon, a French archipelago that blends breathtaking nature with a rich cultural scene, and then it’s over to Sydney, the charming historical capital of Cape Breton. We stop at Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island to admire the pretty Victorian architecture, then Les Îles-de-la-Madeleine for its rugged coastline and red sandstone cliffs. Another day at sea brings us to Gaspé – from here, it’s a short journey to Bonaventure Island, home to the world’s largest northern gannet colony. We continue to Sept-Îles, renowned for its pristine forests and lakes, followed by Saguenay, where whales breaching the fjord make for a thrilling sight. Our journey concludes back in Québec City.

Baie-Comeau, Canada

oct 14, 2028

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Baie-Comeau, Canada picture
Baie-Comeau's industrial history is intertwined with its identity, as it was founded around a pulp and paper mill. The historic Maison Otis stands as a testament to this heritage. However, the town's beauty extends beyond its past, with the stunning Parc des Pionniers and the peaceful Jardins de l'église offering green oases for relaxation. For the culturally inclined, the Musée de la Nature offers insight into the region's flora and fauna, while the Jardin des Glaciers showcases interactive exhibitions about the Ice Age. Yet, it is probably the stunning and tranquil backdrop of St. Lawrence's picturesque shoreline, dotted with lighthouses, that is the biggest pull to visitors to the region. Here you'll find a diverse canvas that spans history, nature, culture, and adventure. Whether exploring historic sites, engaging in outdoor activities, or savoring culinary delights, it is impossible not be seduced by the magic of this iconic waterway.

It's a maritime playground, with whales, puffins, and seals playing in the deep-blue waters, sweeping beaches backed by forests of spruce, and fresh seafood suppers served within eyesight of the waters from which they were caught. The diverse landscape has given rise to a variety of rare plants and is also a haven for birdlife – nature lovers will find themselves in heaven here.

St Pierre, St Pierre And Miquelon

oct 17, 2028

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

St Pierre, St Pierre And Miquelon picture
An archipelago of eight islands off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador, St Pierre and Miquelon has the distinction of being the final remaining piece of French territory in North America. Culturally discrete from its Canadian neighbors, its main currency is the Euro and its cuisine, language, and lifestyle resolutely French. Awe-inspiring scenery, including waterfalls, boreal forest, and sandy isthmus, makes for a walkers' paradise, while boat trips lead you to puffins, seals, and – from June to September – whales. In the colorful capital, St Pierre, follow a 30-minute trail to the l'Anse-à-Pierre lookout for sweeping views. Then learn about the islands' often tumultuous history in the Heritage Museum, including its role as a rum-smuggling haven during Prohibition – Al Capone was allegedly a fan.

06.

Sydney (Nova Scotia), Canada

oct 18, 2028

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Sydney (Nova Scotia), Canada picture
Cape Breton Island's main city Sydney is peaceful and cozy. This Canadian port town reveals its history in the Heritage & Science museum, and boasts the world's largest fiddle on the waterfront. Enjoy the coastal scenery on Cabot Trail for a true taste of this special landscape.

Its streets are adorned with Victorian-era architecture, showcasing the city's rich past, while the island is blessed with rolling emerald hills, miles of rugged coastline plus sand dunes, forests, and pristine beaches. The result is an unmissable serene masterpiece of nature . Beyond Despite holding a pivotal place in Canada’s history as the "Birthplace of Confederation," Charlottetown is not just about historic charm. Venture beyond the shore and embrace a world of wildlife wonders. Coastal habitats come alive with seabirds, seals, and marine life, including whales, seals and dolphins. The island's red sand beaches, characteristic of its iron-rich soil, are a unique and picturesque sight. If you feel a sense of déjà vu here then don’t be surprised; the island is forever linked to the world of "Anne of Green Gables," the iconic novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery. Visitors can explore Green Gables Heritage Place and immerse themselves in the fictional world of Anne Shirley.

From the rhythm of the waves to the echoes of history, Gaspe beckons with a warm welcome. Tall cliffs, peaceful beaches and verdant hills dotted with cottages and lighthouses make for a very picturesque setting. You can't miss the famous Percé Rock that rises from the water, a huge sheer rock formation in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence on the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula. The wildlife is incredible too – seals, whales, and birds all call this place home. Forillon National Park is a must-visit, offering breathtaking views and chances to see these animals in their natural habitat. Gaspé is a special spot where nature's beauty and amazing wildlife come together in a way that promises to take your breath away.

Sept-Iles, Canada

oct 23, 2028

8:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Sept-Iles, Canada picture
This deep-water dock, North America's largest ore-handling port, is an industrial marvel. But for all its modernity, Mother Nature reigns: birders flock to beach-laced shores where puffins play in the protected waters of the Sept-Iles archipelago, a short boat ride away. But before you step out into the wild, visit the Old Trading Post to learn what life was like for local First Nations and French settlers during the 19th-century fur trade, with costumed guides touring recreated wood cabins. And in the Museum Of The North Shore Region, traditional canoes and a dogsled accompany multimedia exhibits uncovering Sept-Iles' 8,000 years of human habitation.

12.

North America's only fjord navigable by cruise ship runs 80 miles from the mighty St. Lawrence seaway flanked by 1,000ft cliffs. The port's Musée du Fjord uncovers its story, above and beneath the surface, while local boutiques sell crafts, from First Nation textiles to natural soaps. The surrounding Saguenay Fjord National Park offers almost limitless opportunities for hiking, sea kayaking, boat trips, wildlife watching, and helicopter rides. Fall's fiery foliage displays see an influx of leaf-peeping visitors.
