Richard Morgan is a retired Federal executive level official with 31 years of government service, including 25 years for the Panama Canal Commission. He managed a large bureau responsible for all agency logistical, physical security, procurement and contracting, and land-based support activities of the Canal, and was a key player in planning and implementing the 1977 Panama Canal Treaty by which the Canal Zone was abolished in 1979 and the Canal itself was transferred to Panama at the end of 1999. His experience is first hand and personal, and he is a popular speaker on the Canal subject.
Dr. Jay Wolff took his undergraduate and doctoral degrees at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. A member of the faculty of Florida Gulf Coast University's Renaissance Academy and elected a member of the British Royal Society of Health, he has published more than a hundred articles on history and culture in professional journals as well as American Heritage, Forbes, American Legacy, The Washington Post and The L.A. Times. He has been a commentator on The History Channel and is an enthusiastically received destination lecturer who brings history to life with stories of the people and events that changed the world.
Prof. Louis Rene Beres (West Lafayette, IN)
Professor of Political Science and International Law at Purdue University, columnist and author, Dr. Beres was educated at Princeton (Ph.D., 1971). His ten published books deal with such issues as US foreign policy, terrorism, counter-terrorism, nuclear strategy and nuclear war. Dr. Beres is also the author of more than fifty major law journal articles, and of over one hundred scholarly articles dealing with various philosophical, psychological, historical and military dimensions of world politics. His lectures provide a stimulating and informed guide to critical issues of our time.
Paula Pryke (Suffolk, England)
Paula Pryke is a florist extraordinaire! Paula started her floral design business in 1988 in central London and soon became one of London's most talked about and successful florists. Incredibly, Paula has found time to complete fifteen books on flower arranging in 24 years. These books have been translated into as many languages and has established Paula as one of the most original, influential florists and well respected florists in the world. In 1994 Paula established her famous flower school in London and she is in demand to demonstrate and teach her skills around the world. Since 2008, Paula has been working with Crystal Cruises as a floral consultant and has been part of the enrichment team.
Sybil Sylvester (Birmingham, AL)
The go-to floral designer and event planner for occasions around Birmingham and the Southeast, Sybil built her business on Southern sass tempered by graciousness, local blossoms - sometimes from her own garden - and a global sense of what’s hot in the world of international floral design. Currently, Sybil is a contributing editor at Flower magazine. Her column Flower School, which ran in Southern Accents, had a loyal following. Her work has appeared in Southern Living, Traditional Home, Creative Home, Southern Living Weddings, Coastal Living, and Alabama magazine. You can see Sybil’s arrangements in the special edition Year Round Color, with the editors of Southern Accents, on newsstands now. Sybil also conducts floral demonstrations across the country, where she is a regular speaker at antiques shows, fund raisers, and garden club events. When she’s not working with flowers, Sybil is working on inspiring our next generation of floral designers.

R. Bruce Murray (Deep Cove, Nova Scotia)
Bruce Murray has been a C.P.G.A. member for over 40 years serving the C.P.G.A. as a Director, as well as serving as chairman of many association portfolios. He has been a Head Professional/Director of Golf at five clubs in his career the most prominent being Royal Montréal, Shaughnessy in Vancouver and now Wildfire in Lakefield, Ontario. Bruce's responsibilities have varied within the scope of the various clubs, but teaching has been and remains his main passion. He has taught students of every level, from novices to professionals and leading amateurs. Bruce is now retired from the private club life and lives outside Halifax, Nova Scotia.
