General Michael V. Hayden (McLean, VA)
As Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, 2006-09, General Michael Hayden was responsible for overseeing the collection of information concerning the plans, intentions, and capabilities of America’s adversaries; producing timely analysis for decision makers; and conducting covert operations to thwart terrorists and other enemies of the United States. Before becoming Director of the CIA, General Hayden served as the country’s first Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence and was the highest-ranking intelligence officer in the armed forces. Earlier he served as Commander of the Air Intelligence Agency, Director of the Joint Command and Control Warfare Center, Director of the National Security Agency, and Chief of the Central Security Service.
General Hayden graduated from Duquesne University with a bachelor’s degree in history in 1967 and a master’s degree in modern American history in 1969. He was a distinguished graduate of the university’s ROTC program, and began his active military service in 1969. He also did postgraduate work at the Defense Intelligence School conducted by the Defense Intelligence Agency. Currently, General Hayden serves as a principal at The Chertoff Group, a security and risk management advisory firm, and as a distinguished visiting professor at the George Mason University School of Public Policy. He was elected to the board of directors of Motorola Solutions in January 2011.
Jay Wolff (Naples, FL)
Dr. Jay Wolff took his undergraduate and doctoral degrees at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. A member of the faculty of Florida Gulf Coast University's Renaissance Academy and elected a member of the British Royal Society of Health, he has published more than a hundred articles on history and culture in professional journals as well as American Heritage, Forbes, American Legacy, The Washington Post and The L.A. Times. He has been a commentator on The History Channel and is an enthusiastically received destination lecturer who brings history to life with stories of the people and events that changed the world.

Get your creative juices flowing using a variety of media in classes taught by our specially trained Odyssey Art at Sea instructor Ronnie Whitson (Putnam Valley, NY). The relaxing and social aspects of knitting have been added to our Odyssey Art at Sea program on select cruises. Ronnie will host knitting classes and all levels are welcome. Participants are encouraged to knit together sharing skills and advice in a congenial environment. Participation is limited.

Improve your video and photo skills. The course is taught by professionals, but aimed at non-professionals.

If you do not already own the iMovie app for iOS, you must have iOS6 in order to purchase and download iMovie ($4.99) from the App Store. Bruce Murray has been a C.P.G.A. member for over 40 years serving the C.P.G.A. as a Director, as well as serving as chairman of many association portfolios. He has been a Head Professional/Director of Golf at five clubs in his career the most prominent being Royal Montréal, Shaughnessy in Vancouver and now Wildfire in Lakefield, Ontario. Bruce's responsibilities have varied within the scope of the various clubs, but teaching has been and remains his main passion. He has taught students of every level, from novices to professionals and leading amateurs. Bruce is now retired from the private club life and lives outside Halifax, Nova Scotia.
