Sherry Smith fell in love with paintings and sculptures when she visited the major European museums as an undergraduate. She earned a Masters Degree from the University of Texas and has engaged high school, college, graduate students, and alumnae in the joy of discovering the world around them though art. She is sought after for her engaging, approachable style and wants the audience to have fun, be involved, and take with them the tools for understanding and enjoying art. Sherry looks for art that is both important and interesting and weaves it into its cultural setting. “There is no reason art or history has to be boring!’’
Giancarlo Impiglia (Bridgehampton, NY)
Giancarlo Impiglia is an artist and art historian whose name is renowned in the world of art and among cruise aficionados. When he left his native Rome for New York, he carried with him a solid classical education in Fine Art. He was born to a family of artists and musicians and he studied at the Art Lyceum and the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome and he continued his studies at the Italian Center of Cinematography. By the late '60s Giancarlo Impiglia, already a well established artist in his native country, was re-proposing the revival of the international and eclectic Art Deco style, which in the '20s and '30s was adopted for the décor of luxurious cruise ships.

Tony Jacklin has experienced a career that all Professional Golfers aspire to duplicate. The list of achievements that Tony has amassed over the last 45 years has led to his name becoming synonymous with the great legends of the game. To this day, Tony Jacklin continues to be recognized not only for his success on the golf course, but how he continues to give back to the great game of golf. Tony Jacklin became the first British player to win the British Open at Royal Lytham and St. Annes. One year later, with a victory at Hazeltine Golf Club in the US Open, he achieved even greater heights becoming the first player since Ben Hogan to hold both the US Open and British Open titles simultaneously. Tony Jacklin’s remarkable exploits and brilliance revitalized British and European golf and he became the driving force behind establishing the European Tour as it is known today. Tony has won a total of 27 tournaments on the PGA Tour, European Tour and Senior PGA Tour.
Tony has an extraordinary track record as a Ryder Cup player and the fact he was the Ryder Cup Captain four times carves his name in the history of the tournament that dates back to 1927. The Ryder Cup Years became the next chapter in his golf career. In this role he elevated and transformed the European team in the Ryder Cup to its current status. Tony Jacklin led the European Team to its first victory in 28 years in 1985. In 1987 the Jacklin led Ryder Cup team won on American soil for the first time. In Tony’s fourth consecutive role as Ryder Cup Captain the European team successfully retained the cup for the first time in history. Tony Jacklin is one of the very few players to be invited to become an honorary member of the Royal and Ancient, the governing body of golf. In 2002 he was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame. Tony has been awarded the CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) by Queen Elizabeth for his services to golf. Earlier this year he received the 2012 Metropolitan Golf Writers Association highest honor, the Gold Tee award. This award is bestowed for Tony’s outstanding achievements and leadership for the game of golf.
