General Nick Halley (Upland, CA)
General Nick Halley is a recognized expert on leadership, terrorism, change management and integrity. His leadership expertise was learned and developed under the most stressful conditions - combat. His impressive background as a senior leader in the military, government and corporate worlds include: an Engineering Degree from West Point, Nuclear Physics Masters Degree from the University Of Virginia, Commander of soldiers in three conflicts-Vietnam, Grenada and Desert Storm (Iraq).

Rollo Burgess (East Sussex, England) 
Born and raised in the United Kingdom in a family that loved to travel, Rollo was sent abroad at a young age to spend vacations with families and to learn languages. For Rollo and his wife, travel is their hobby and so far they've visited 142 different countries and travelled around the world eight times. Their journeys have taken them to all the continents, to small remote islands and to the depths of the great rain forests. They travel alone on local transport and wherever possible, stay with local families. They have often visited many of the South Pacific islands and their policy of staying with local families has enabled them to become immersed in the local way of life, enjoying the variety of cultures, changing scenes, rich scenery, and in the process, making friends all over the world.

Prof. Louis Rene Beres (West Lafayette, IN)
Professor of Political Science and International Law at Purdue University, columnist and author, Dr. Beres was educated at Princeton (Ph.D., 1971). His ten published books deal with such issues as US foreign policy, terrorism, counter-terrorism, nuclear strategy and nuclear war. Dr. Beres is also the author of more than fifty major law journal articles, and of over one hundred scholarly articles dealing with various philosophical, psychological, historical and military dimensions of world politics. His lectures provide a stimulating and informed guide to critical issues of our time.

Jay Wolff (Naples, FL) 
Dr. Jay Wolff took his undergraduate and doctoral degrees at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. A member of the faculty of Florida Gulf Coast University's Renaissance Academy and elected a member of the British Royal Society of Health, he has published more than a hundred articles on history and culture in professional journals as well as American Heritage, Forbes, American Legacy, The Washington Post and The L.A. Times. He has been a commentator on The History Channel and is an enthusiastically received destination lecturer who brings history to life with stories of the people and events that changed the world.

Azmin Ghahreman (San Juan Capistrano, CA)
Azmin Ghahreman is a seasoned chef who was born in Iran, educated in Switzerland, and has worked all over the world. In 2007, he opened Sapphire Laguna restaurant and lounge in Laguna Beach that showcases his globally-oriented cooking style. Ghahreman has an extensive and impressive history as Executive Chef at such places like the five diamond St. Regis Resort & Spa and five-star Four Seasons hotels throughout the world. He has also won numerous cooking competitions and has appeared on several TV shows as culinary expert and has had the prestigious opportunity to cook for over 30 Kings, Presidents and Heads of State. Ghahreman earned his culinary diplomas at the College Du Leman is Switzerland and the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco as well as mixology certificate from the American Bartending School.

Shailesh Naidu
After 11 years at the Regent of Fiji (now Westin) and Sheraton Resorts, where he completed his apprenticeship, Shailesh moved to Outrigger on the Lagoon Fiji in 2001 and as Sous Chef in 2003. After successfully working under 3 expatriate chefs, he was promoted to Executive Chef in June, 2007. He is the first and only Fijian-born, 5-star, Executive Chef in Fiji and is the nation’s most decorated chef – most recently being elected as President of the Fiji Chefs Association in 2012.

Robin Kelly O'Connor
Robin Kelley O’Connor is an expert in his field with over 30 years of experience in the wine trade, as a wine educator and writer. Mr. O’Connor studied wine at the University of Maryland and earned a diploma from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust in London. Since then, he has conducted over 2500 seminars around the world and has been inducted into the wine world’s most prestigious institutions. Mr. O’Connor recently joined Italian Wine Merchants (IWM), the leading purveyor of fine Italian wines in the country, as well as a specialist in providing great, rare and collectable wines of Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne, California and Rioja. He adds his thirty years of experience, authority and passion to seminars, prestige dinner events, sales, offerings and wine education. Mr. O’Connor was the Head of Wine for Christie’s Americas, the world’s leading art business. There, he was responsible for wine auctions, private sales of fine and rare wines for the Americas and was the lead business-getter in securing consignments for sale. Mr. O’Connor is a Christie’s trained charity auctioneer.

The relaxing and social aspects of knitting have been added on select cruises. On this sailing, Janet Blakely (South Pender Island, Canada) will host knitting classes and all levels are welcome. Want to take your home movies to the next level and learn how to share them with family and friends? In five entertaining classes, learn how to shoot and edit short movies using an iPad. Improve your video and photo skills. The course is taught by professionals, but aimed at non-professionals.
Course requirements: please bring your own iPad pre-loaded with the iMovie application. If you do not already own the iMovie for iOS app, you must have iOS7 in order to download iMovie from the App Store. If you have an older version of the iMovie app, be sure to update to the current version. You cannot download the app on board the ship. Please sign up online using the Priority Check-in & Planning Center (PCPC). If you sign up on board, make sure to sign up EARLY, in the Library, as the class size is limited.

John Parris
John Parris’ passion for photography becomes clear in the images he captures with his portraiture commissions. His portraits range from traditional to informal to contemporary, but most importantly they capture the character of the individual or couple. Through his creativity and professional excellence, John’s portraits are appreciated by all who have commissioned him. John was named the Scottish Wedding Photographer of the Year, Scottish Portrait Photographer of the Year and British Fashion Photographer of the Year. He has won countless awards of Merit & Excellence and is in high demand worldwide for commissions and as a speaker and lecturer. A Fellow of The British Institute of Professional Photography and of the Master Photographers Association, John is the only professional photographer in Scotland to hold a portrait fellowship and is a UK National Qualifications Judge. John is an exciting portrait photographer whose vibrant style and technique, in both studio and location settings, have established him as one of Scotland’s most sought after Master Photographers. John will set up reservations to have exclusive portrait sessions with guests. Selected images from these portrait sessions will be presented in a hand-crafted, custom-bound album. Crystal Cruises is the only cruise line to offer a Nordic Walking program to help you get more out of your limited exercise time on board. The use of lightweight poles for stability and balance will facilitate your fitness needs even if you have knee or hip issues. Two specially designed adjustable poles work the upper body while walking. Like cross country skiing, the poles are used by the arms to match each step the person takes. Our Fitness Staff will guide you to quickly be deck-walking for fun and fitness. You will be using feather weight aluminum poles provided by the market leader, LEKI®.
