Luke Zamperini (Tarzana, CA)
Luke Zamperini is the son of Louis Zamperini, Olympic athlete, war hero, and the subject of Pulitzer Prize winning Author Laura Hillenbrand's latest book, Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption. Luke has accompanied his father Louis on speaking engagements for over 50 years and knows every detail of his incredible story of bravery and survival and delivers his father's powerful story through lectures and videos.

George S. Losey, Jr., (Kaneohe, HI)
George received his Ph.D. in 1968 from Scripps Institution of Oceanography and then joined the University of Hawaii. His work includes cleaning symbiosis, sex change in fishes and ultraviolet protection, vision and coloration in reef fishes. He lived underwater as an aquanaught, dove in purse seines with dolphins and tunas and has worked on coral reefs from Israel to Australia. Since 1995, he has been enjoying lecturing on ships. This led to 'Cruise Ship Captain,' a computer simulation of piloting various cruise ships.
Helena Aves (Raleigh, NC)
Frequent lecturer Dr. Aves has a Ph.D. in Geology from Columbia University. Dr. Aves has consulted in both petroleum and mining projects throughout the world. She has an avid interest in the science of geology, and is eager to relate her enthusiasm for the many aspects of geology, from its sublime natural beauty, its awesome power and splendor, as well as its uncompassionate natural laws. She takes great interest in plucking interesting, seemingly disparate, facts from other disciplines, such as history and art, and finding connections that will bring her audience into fuller appreciation of the topic at hand.
Dr. Charles Faiman (Beachwood, OH)
Dr. Charles Faiman is a former Professor of Medicine and Physiology at the University of Manitoba and is a Past Chairman of the Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the Cleveland Clinic. He is currently a Consultant in that Department. He holds the distinction of having been given the Master award of the American College of Endocrinology. He has published and lectured widely to North American, European and Middle East lay and professional audiences in a variety of fields of endocrinology.
General Nick Halley (Upland, CA)
General Nick Halley is a recognized expert on leadership, terrorism, change management and integrity. His leadership expertise was learned and developed under the most stressful conditions - combat. His impressive background as a senior leader in the military, government and corporate worlds include: an Engineering Degree from West Point, Nuclear Physics Masters Degree from the University Of Virginia, Commander of soldiers in three conflicts-Vietnam, Grenada and Desert Storm (Iraq).
Herb Keyser (San Antonio, TX)
Dr. Herb Keyser, with a fifty year involvement and love of the theater, will provide an enchanting series about the lives and music of geniuses of the American musical theater. His presentations and music will tell of the funny, poignant, inspiring, and, at times, sad events that characterized their amazing lives. He is also the author of a book covering the same topic.
Dr. John McMichan (Scottsdale, AZ)
Born in Melbourne, Australia, John McMichan obtained his medical education at Monash University and then spent time in Surgery and Surgical Research at the Alfred Hospital, Melbourne. After a period as a Ship's Surgeon, John with his wife Jan, moved to Rochester, Minnesota where he joined the staff of the Mayo Clinic specializing in Critical Care Medicine, Anesthesiology and Medical Education. Because of their love of passenger ships, John and Jan have taken many cruises to all parts of the world and now, as John has retired from clinical practice, he is a frequent lecturer at sea discussing a variety of medical topics in a light and informative manner and providing take-home messages for better health and longer life.
Tim Samaras (Bennett, CO)
Tim Samaras brings to the role of special interest lecturer over 25 years experience chasing tornadoes and lightning. He drives 45,000 miles per year hunting tornadoes and lightning for scientific research through America's heartland. Samaras starred on the hit Discovery television series Storm Chasers, and is currently a seasoned National Geographic Explorer. His work has been featured numerous times in National Geographic magazine (most recent is the August, 2012 issue) where his exciting tornado and lightning chases are well documented. Samaras holds the world record of recording the lowest pressure drop in a tornado, and to place video cameras into the tornado 'eye' using instruments he designed and built himself. He is also the first to use digital high-speed photography to scientifically document a lightning strike. Samaras' riveting lecture series takes attendees through an unparalleled journey to witness the most powerful storms on the planet.
